BFSU-SolBridge International School of Business was established in accordance w ith a vision to create a truly progressive and highly integrated business education program that combines an international business teaching m odel w ith an indepth understanding of Asian cultures.The campus, located at Beijing Foreign Studies University, in the capital of China,provides the perfect setting for such a dynam ic program focusing on Chinese businesses and their evolving relationships w ith Western and other nations.

Cheung Kong Alum ni Donate 10 M illion Yuan to Child ren’s Lib rary Charity Pro jec t

October 20, in a ceremony officially launching its new charity, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business in Beijing announced that alumni and staff have so far raised 10 m illion yuan for the Red Scarf Children’s Library Pro ject. The launch was held at Jiangtaiwa Elementary School in Beijing. The school was chosen to be the site of the fi rst library constructed under the initiative because 98 percent of the students there are children of m igrant workers.

The launch ceremony marked the culm ination of months of effort by Cheung Kong and its alumni associations to raise money for the project from alumni, staff,faculty, and students. The funds w ill be used by the China Comm unist Youth League, a co-sponsor of the project, to build 500 libraries at schools in underdeveloped regions around China.

Liangxiang Higher Education Park

Covering a total land area of 10,060 acres, Liangxiang Higher Education Park is located at FunHill in Beijing. Built w ith a total investm ent o f 15 billion yuan, the park can hold 100,000-120,000 teachers and students, and has four functional areas including an education area,central landscape area, central facilities area and w est supporting facilities area. The new campuses of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology,Capital Normal University and Beijing Technology and Business University have been completed and been put into service for more than 20,000 teachers and students. Recently, Golden Harvest Cinema signed a cooperation agreement w ith the park, which marked the beginning of the construction of the large-scale high-end supporting facilities.

In October, the park w as nam ed FunHill IdeaTown. W ith a good position and a gathering of many prestigious universities, Liangxiang Higher Education Park -FunHill IdeaTown strives to become a model higher education park.
