浅谈初中英语课本中ｗｉｔｈ的几种用法

1.作“和……一起,跟……,在……身边”解:

1) She is cleaning the hill with Rose.

2) I will stay with you and help you.

3) Don't play with the cat any more.

当with与be ,have carry take bring等动词连用时,常有“带着,拿着,拿在手里”等含义。

4) He had no paper with him.

5) My heart isn't with me.

2.作“有,附有,带有,具有”解:

6)More than one hundred years ago there was a great scientist with the name Ampere.

7) An old woman , with a basket by her side, looked very worried at a street corner.

8)You can see a monument with seagulls on top of it.

9)Instead , he found (in the net) a jar with a lid.

10)Look there's a report here in the newspaper, with , pictures.

3.表示原因,可译为“因为,由于”:

11)With their help, people have done much research in many fields of science.

12)When he is eating ,he doesn't speak with his mouth full of food.

4.相当于 “use”的含义,用在有形的工具或手段等词前,译为“用……,以……,借”。

13)We see with our eyes and walk with our legs.

14)He wrote the letter with a pencil. 15) One was filled with kerosene, one with castor oil ,and one with vinegar.

5.与表示情绪的名词连用,作用近似一个副词。一般译为“带着……地,以……地”。

16)And he sat back with a smile on his face.

17)They are wild with joy when ;their; player or team wins.

18) As the students watched with fascination ,he mixer the three together .

6.相当于as soon as ,while,译为“随着,……同时”。

19) Sports change with the season .

20) With these words ,he threw the big stone at the crocodile .

21) And with a polite 'Good night ',he left the rich woman's house .

7.相当于about 的含义,译为“就……来说,关于”。

22)“Something is wrong with that boy,”someone said .

23) I can get on well with the people here .

8.表示对某人或某事的具体态度、看法,译为|“对……,对待”。

24) … because her parents were very strict with her .

25) The judge and two men were satisfied with what the Arad had said .

此外,习惯上与with 连用的短语,在初中英语教材中也是不少的。例如:

keep up with ,have a talk with ,have nothing to do with ,go ahead with ,be busy with …,help …with ,be covered with 等。
