When you are learning English, you find it not clever to put an English sentence, word for word, into your own language. Take the sentence “How do you do?” as an example. If you look up each word in the dictionary, one at a time, what is your translation (翻译)? It must be a wrong sentence in your own language.
Languages do not just have different sounds, they are different in many ways. Its important to master the rules for word order in the study of English, too. If the speaker put words in a wrong order, the listener cant understand the speakers sentence easily. Sometimes when the order of words in an English sentence is changed, the meaning of the sentence changed, too. But sometimes the order is changed, the meaning of the sentence doesnt change. Lets see the difference between the two pairs of sentences.
“She only likes apples.” “Only she likes apples.”
“I have seen the film already.” “I have already seen the film.”
When you are learning English, you must do your best to get the spirit (精神实质 ) of the language and use it as the English speaker does.

In one way, it may be thought that failure is a part of life. In another, failure may be regarded as a step towards success.
The “spider-story” is often told as an example of this. Robert Bruce, leader of the Scots in the 13th century, was hiding in a hole on a hill from the English. He watched a spider(蜘蛛) making a web. Bruce is said to have got confidence from this and to have gone on to beat the English. Edison, too, the inventor of the light bulb(电灯泡), made hundreds of models that failed before he found the right way to make one.
So what? First, always think about your failure. What caused it? Were you in high spirit then? What can you change so that things will go right the next time?
Second, is the goal you are trying to reach the right one? Try to do some thinking about what your real goals may be. Think about this question: “If I am successful in this, where will it get me?” This may help to prevent failure in the things you shouldnt be doing anyway.
The third thing to remember about failure is that its a part of life. Learn to “live with yourself” even though you may have failed. Remember, “You cant win them all.”
