The 2008 Olympic football competitions will be hosted by five Chinese cities from August 6 to 23. Excepting the men's and women's finals, which will be held in Beijing, earlier matches will take place in Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenyang, and

Qinhuangdao.

Construction and renovation of the Olympic venues are complete, and the arenas, support facilities and personnel have been put through the paces in the course of numerous test events. Increased airport capacity, bolstered road networks and traffic handling, and improvements to the overall urban environment have further readied these metropolises for the world-class sporting events and expected waves of international and domestic visitors.
