【情景】介绍认识。

【典例】

①This is Jennifer. 她叫詹尼弗。

②This is Anthony. 他叫安东尼。

【解析】①这是英语中介绍双方认识的地道表达方式，不能按汉语习惯说成“He”或“She”。但译成汉语时可以把this译成“他”或“她”。②在书面语中This is不能缩写在一起。③同时介绍两个或两个以上的人给另一个人时，要用these are。

【情景】打扰别人时脱口而出。

【典例】

【解析】①用于向某人询问一件事或提出请求而打扰某人时。意思是“对不起”，“请问”。②其同义句Sorry或者Im sorry 表示“对不起”或“抱歉”，用于对自己的过错，失误，不能做某事或者不能提供对方的请求时。
