1. 你妹妹长什么样？

误：What does your sister like?

正：What does your sister look like?

析：当询问某人的外貌特征时，应用句型“What do/does+主语+look like?”，其中like是介词，短语look like的意思是“看上去像……”。例如：

She looks like her mother.她看上去像她妈妈。

2. 你认识那个戴眼镜的女孩吗？

误：Do you know the girl has glasses?

正：Do you know the girl with glasses?

析：此处要用介词with来表示“戴”的意思，作伴随状语，放在所修饰的词后面。

3. 你哥哥会讲英语吗？

误：Can your brother say English?

正：Can your brother speak English?

析：say的意思是“说、讲”，强调所说的内容。而speak作“说、讲”时，强调说话的能力；说某种语言时，要用speak。例如：

Please say it again.请再说一遍。

4. 教室里没有人。

误：There are nobody in the classroom.

正：There is nobody in the classroom.

析：nobody是不定代词，意思是“没有人”，含有否定意义，作主语时，谓语动词要用单数形式。

5. 我认为你不对。

误：I think you are not right.

正：I dont think you are right.

析：I think后面接一个句子（叫宾语从句）作宾语时，若该句子为否定的，一般要否定主句，而不否定从句。

6. 我想要一些西红柿。

误：Id like some tomatos.

正：Id like some tomatoes.

析：tomato的复数形式是在词尾加上es构成。

7. 你想要多大碗的面条？

误：How size bowl of noodles would you like?

正：What size bowl of noodles would you like?

析：size的意思是“大小、尺寸”，可与what连用，而不可与how连用。

8. 我想吃鸡肉和带洋白菜的面条。

误：Id like chicken or cabbage noodles.

正：Id like chicken and cabbage noodles.

析：在肯定句中表示并列成分的列举，要用and；在疑问句和否定句中并列成分的列举要用or。

9. 你想要哪种面条？

误：What kinds of noodles would you like?

正：What kind of noodles would you like?

析：kind与what连用时，要用单数形式。

10. 我喜欢牛肉西红柿面条。

误：I like beef and tomatoes noodles.

正：I like beef and tomato noodles.

析：名词作定语时，一般要用单数形式。

11. 他喜欢吃鸡肉。

误：He likes eating chickens.

正：He likes eating chicken.

析：chicken作不可数名词时，意思是“鸡肉”，没有复数形式；chicken用作可数名词时，意思是“鸡”，有复数形式。
