The next great land area that man hopes to live is the moon. However, there are bad surroundings（环境） on the moon. Its very hot at daytime and very cold at night, and there is no air or water on it.

Today there are many ideas about living on the moon, but it is unknown when man will begin to live on it. It is believed that man can succeed in living on the moon by three steps. First, man must build some temporary shelters（临时住处）. Second, man must learn to stay longer in the houses under the surface of the moon with daily necessities（日用必需品） brought from the earth. Third, man will manage to live a self-supporting（自给自足的） life on the moon.

月球：人类的新大陆

人类有望居住的下一片广阔的土地就是月球。然而，月球上环境恶劣，白天极热，夜晚极冷，而且没有水和空气。

人们对在月球居住有很多设想，但何时才能住到月球上还不为人知。一般认为，人类必须经过三个步骤才能成功地在月球上生活。首先，人类必须建造一些临时的住处。 第二，人类必须依靠从地球上带去的日用必需品，学会在月球表面以下的房屋中呆得更长久。第三，人类必须设法在月球上过上自给自足的生活。
