Shenzhou-7 Astronauts Perform China’s First Spacewalk

AT 17:36 on September 28,2008,the re-entry module of the Shenzhou-7 spacecraft success-fully landed after a nearly three-day mission. Less than an hour later, the three Chineseastronauts-Zhai Zhigang, Liu Boming and Jing Haipeng-climbed out of the capsule,markikng the end of a successful mission that saw China become the third nation, after the United States and Russia, to have an astronaut perform a walkin space.
