Tourism Security Sub-forum of the 2024 GPSCFL Conference Convened in Sanya, Hainan

The Tourism Security Sub-forum of the 2024 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) (GPSCFL) was held recently in Sanya City of Hainan Province. The sub-forum gathered representatives from 30 countries and regions, including government officials, law enforcement agencies, and heads of international organizations, internationally renowned scholars, leaders of well-known domestic and overseas tourism enterprises, and heads of foreign travel agencies, totaling over 100 participants. The Tourism Security Sub-forum, held for the first time and themed “Tourism with Security, Partnering for Progress”, was hosted by China Association for Friendship and organized by Hainan Provincial Public Security Department.
During the sub-forum, attendees engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on three topics, i.e. Tourism Security and Social and Economic Development, International Cooperation for Tourism Security Governance, and New Challenges and Strategies for Global Tourism Security. The sub-forum comprehensively expounded on the principles and propositions of global tourism security governance, advocated a shared and collaborative global tourism security governance concept, promoted international tourism law enforcement cooperation, and released the Sanya Initiative on Global Tourism Security. The launching ceremony of the China-Serbia Joint Police Patrol was also held in Sanya amid the sub-forum.
