Prevent or Reduce Fire with Goats?

In May 2022, there was a large wildfire in California, US. The fire burned quickly toward an apartment building. But in the end, the fire went out and the building was safe.
It seemed like a miracle, but it was in fact the work of 400 hungry goats. The goats ate most of the dry plants in the area. The fire stopped because there was nothing else to burn. The goats saved a neighborhood of more than 250 homes.
In Colorado, US, Lani Malmberg and her son have about 1,200 goats on their farm. The goats have been to 17 states to help make a firebreak or an open space with no plants. They eat almost all the plants so that the fire doesn’t burn quickly. Malmberg believes they are a great tool for preventing fires. The fires are getting worse every year because of climate change. So Malmberg thinks her goats will become busier.
