圣?埃克苏佩里（法语：Antoine de Saint?Exupéry，1900年6月29日—1944年7月31日）。他是法国作家、飞行家，出生在法国里昂，1941年侨居纽约，埋头从事文学创作。其作品主要描述飞行员的生活，代表作有《夜航》《人的大地》《空军飞行员》《小王子》等。

小王子遇到了狐狸，他邀请狐狸跟他玩，但是狐狸拒绝了，因为狐狸还没有被小王子驯化。狐狸请小王子驯化自己，小王子答应了。小王子在看了一大片玫瑰后，感悟到自己的玫瑰花之所以与众不同，是因为自己花费了时间、精力去呵护它，这才使其成为世界上独一无二的那朵玫瑰花。小王子这时才明白自己早已经被玫瑰花驯化。在即将分别的时候，狐狸哭了。它给小王子讲了个秘密——世界上最珍贵的东西都是用心才能感受到的，而且人要为自己驯化的事物负责。

And then he added，“ Go and look again at the roses. You will understand now thatyours is unique in all the world. Then come back to say goodbye to me， and I will make you a present of a secret.”

The little prince went away， to look again at the roses.

“You are not at all like my rose，”

he said. “As yet you are nothing. Noone has tamed you， and you have tamedno one. You are like my fox when I firstknew him. He was only a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But I have made him myfriend， and now he is unique in all the world.”

And the roses were very much embarrassed.

“You are beautiful， but you are empty，” he went on.“ One could not die for you. To besure， an ordinary passer?by would think that my rose looked just like you—the rose that belongsto me. But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you otherroses; because it is she that I have watered; because it is she that I have put under the glassglobe; because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen; because it is for her that Ihave killed the caterpillars （except the two or three that we saved to become butterflies）;because it is she that I have listened to， when she grumbled， or boasted， or even sometimeswhen she said nothing. Because she is my rose.”

And he went back to meet the fox.“ Goodbye，” he said.“ Goodbye，” said the fox.“ Andnow here is my secret， a very simple secret： It is only with the heart that one can see rightly.What is essential is invisible to the eye.”

“What is essential is invisible to the eye，” the little prince repeated， so that he wouldbe sure to remember.

“It is the time you have wasted on your rose that makes your rose so important.”

“It is the time I have wasted on my rose，”said the little prince， so that he would be sure to remember.

“Men have forgotten this truth，” said the fox.“ But you must not forget it. You becomeresponsible， forever， for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose...

“I am responsible for my rose，” the little prince repeated， so that he would be sure toremember.
