袁家军胡衡华会见欧盟国家驻华使节团

On May 25, Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, and Hu Henghua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Mayor of Chongqing,had a meeting with the Delegation of the European Union Diplomatic Enovys to China led by H.E.Jorge Toledo, Ambassador of the European Union to China.

17 Ambassadors of EU countries to China attended the meeting,including Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Croatia,Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Romania,Slovakia, and Spain.Chongqing’s leaders, Luo Lin and Zhang Guozhi,attended the meeting.

Yuan Jiajun and Hu Henghua, on behalf of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and the Chongqing Municipal Government, extended a warm welcome to delegates visiting Chongqing.They expressed gratitude to the ambassadors for their attention to Chongqing and for promoting exchanges and cooperation with Chongqing.

Yuan noted that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the China-EU Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.The leaders of both sides have reached important consensuses on enhancing strategic mutual trust and deepening practical cooperation.Chongqing is committed to implementing the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping.Chongqing is actively contributing to promoting the development of the China-EU relationship and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind following the important consensuses reached by the leaders of both sides.

Chongqing, the only centrally-administered municipality in Central and Western China, has a rich history, a pleasant environment of lush mountains and lucid rivers, and booming development dynamics.Currently,Chongqing is fully implementing the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and promoting the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-Hub Mega-Region and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.We are building a modern socialist new Chongqing in all respects on the new journey and in a new era.For this goal, we put the highlevel opening up high on the agenda, promote the development of openingup corridors such as the China-Europe Railway Express, strengthen the capabilities of opening-up platforms, develop an open economy, turn Chongqing into an opening-up pioneer in inland China, and lead Western China in opening-up endeavors.

5月25日，市委书记袁家军，市委副书记、市长胡衡华会见了由欧盟驻华代表团团长、大使庹尧诲率领的欧盟国家驻华使节团。

瑞典、芬兰、爱尔兰、意大利、奥地利、比利时、克罗地亚、塞浦路斯、丹麦、法国、德国、拉脱维亚、马耳他、葡萄牙、罗马尼亚、斯洛伐克、西班牙17位欧盟成员国驻华大使，市领导罗蔺、张国智参加。

袁家军、胡衡华代表市委、市政府向欧盟国家驻华使节团来渝访问表示欢迎，感谢各位使节关注重庆、推动与重庆的交流合作。袁家军说，今年是中欧建立全面战略伙伴关系20周年。中欧双方领导人就增进战略互信、深化务实合作等达成重要共识。重庆将积极践行习近平主席发出的全球发展倡议、全球安全倡议和全球文明倡议，落实双方领导人重要共识，为推动中欧关系发展、构建人类命运共同体贡献地方力量。重庆是中国中西部地区唯一的直辖市，历史底蕴深厚，城市山水环绕，生态环境优美，发展欣欣向荣。我们正全面贯彻中共二十大精神，推动成渝地区双城经济圈建设和陆海新通道建设等国家重大战略落地落实，在新时代新征程全面建设社会主义现代化新重庆。我们把高水平对外开放作为新重庆建设的重要抓手，积极推进中欧班列等开放通道建设，提升开放平台能级，发展开放型经济，加快建设内陆开放高地，更好在中国西部地区带头开放、带动开放。重庆与欧盟国家交往密切，合作成果丰硕。愿进一步增进交流沟通，在经贸、科技、人文等方面深化合作，实现互利共赢、共同发展。我们将积极支持欧盟各国在渝开展交流活动，积极为欧盟国家企业在渝发展提供优质服务。

Chongqing has close exchanges with EU countries, and the cooperation has yielded fruitful results.Chongqing is willing to further enhance interactions and communication and deepen cooperation in economy, trade,science and technology, education, and culture for win-win outcomes,mutual benefits, and common development.Chongqing will support EU countries in organizing exchange activities in Chongqing and provide highquality services for the development of EU companies in Chongqing.

H.E.Jorge Toledo thanked Chongqing for the warm hospitality and thoughtful arrangement for the delegation of the EU diplomatic envoys to China.H.E.Helena Sångeland, Ambassador of Sweden to China;H.E.Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, Ambassador of Finland to China; H.E.Ann Derwin, Ambassador of Ireland to China and H.E.Massimo Ambrosetti,Ambassador of Italy to China, made speeches respectively.It is agreed that local exchanges are of importance to the China-EU cooperation.Chongqing is a significant hub in the economy, industry, science and technology,transportation, and so on.

EU member states pay great attention to and are optimistic about the development of Chongqing in the future.The delegation of the EU diplomatic envoys is willing to promote local cooperation with Chongqing,establish and improve the communication mechanism, and constantly promote exchanges and cooperation with Chongqing in various fields such as economy, trade, science and technology, education, culture,especially people-to-people exchanges among the youth of the two sides,to continuously enhance mutual understanding, and bring our bilateral cooperation to a new height with new achievements.
