就业优先，夯实民生之本

民生是人民幸福之基、社會和谐之本。

一头连着经济发展，一头连着百姓饭碗，就业是最基本的民生，是经济发展的“晴雨表”、社会稳定的“压舱石”。

今年以来，重庆坚持以实施就业优先战略为引领，以高质量充分就业为目标，全面落实就业优先政策。今年上半年，全市城镇新增就业41万人，同比增长2.3%，已完成全年目标任务的68.3%。

本期“新时代 新征程 新重庆”系列报道，我们通过讲述落实就业优先政策、就业工作者筹办招聘会、不断涌现的新职业新业态等故事，透视我市在增进民生福祉上取得的新成效。

保障和改善民生没有终点，只有连续不断的新起点。只有实实在在帮群众解难题、为群众增福祉、让群众享公平，才能不断满足人民群众对美好生活的向往。

Livelihood is the basis of peoples happiness and the foundation of social harmony.

It is connected with one end to economic development and with the other to the well-being of the people. Employment is the most fundamental aspect of livelihood. It serves as the "barometer" of economic development and the "ballast" for social stability.

Since the beginning of this year， Chongqing has adhered to the strategy of prioritizing employment， with the goal of achieving highquality and full employment. The policy of employment priority has been comprehensively implemented. In the first half of this year， the new urban jobs of the city added 2.3% year-on-year to 410，000， achieving 68.3% of the annual target.

In this edition of the series "New Era， New Journey， New Chongqing"， we share stories about the implementation of the employment priority policy， efforts of employment workers in organizing job fairs， and the emergence of new professions and industries. These stories shed light on the new progress our city has made in enhancing peoples well-being.

The guarantee and improvement of livelihood have no endpoint but continuous new starting points. Only by genuinely helping people solve problems， enhancing their well-being， and ensuring fairness can we continually meet peoples aspirations for a better life.
