Our school launched a project of collecting used books on campus to help the children of a rural primary school recently.

At the beginning of this semester， the Students Union of our school started a series of publicity activities， such as putting up posters around the campus and handing out leaflets， to drum up support. The posters and leaflets specified the kind of books that were wanted and the way the books were collected. The students were very enthusiastic about the project. Teachers also contributed heavily to the project. More than 2，000 books were collected in all， most of them brand new or gently used.
