The 20th Baihua Literary Awards announced

As reported， the 20th Baihua Literature Awards were unveiled in Tianjin. This years Baihua Literature Awards featured categories such as short story， novella， novel， prose， science fiction literature， online literature， and adaptation value for films and TV dramas， encompassing seven awards in total. Works like Qiu Huadongs short story The Hippo Masseuse， Zhang Weis novella The Endless Flow of Love， Shi Zhongshans novel My Himalayas， and Xu Lus prose Elegy for Youth and Eternal Nostalgia were among the 39 awarded.

The Baihua Literature Awards were guided by the Publicity Department of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee， organized by the Tianjin Publishing Media Group， and undertaken by the Baihua Literature and Art Publishing House. It is understood that the Baihua Literature Awards originated from the “Baihua Awards” of Fiction Monthly， a branded journal of Baihua Literature and Art Publishing House. Since its establishment， the award has continually expanded its vision and focus areas， successively adding prose awards， adaptation value awards for films and TV dramas， science fiction literature awards， and upgrading to the “Baihua Literature Awards.” To reflect the characteristics of literary creation in the new era， this edition of the Baihua Literature Awards introduced the online literature award.

Additionally， 18 editors from literary journals such as Peoples Literature， Harvest， October， and Contemporary received editor awards， while 30 readers from both within China and abroad were honored with reader awards.
