To celebrate the 7thanniversary of the implementation of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Connectivity Initiative, the Chongqing Municipal Government and the Ministry of Trade& Industry, Singapore, jointly held the first 2022 Chongqing·Experience Singapore Week in Chongqing from October 29thto November 13th.Through a series of activities such as the i-Light Singapore, Nyonya outfits try-outs, and Singaporean special cuisine, the unique charm of Singapore’s multiculturalism was displayed, bringing a Singapore-style experience to the citizens of Chongqing.
新加坡i-Light灯光秀、娘惹服饰换装体验、新加坡特色美食……为庆祝中新(重庆)战略性互联互通示范项目实施7周年,10月29日至11月13日,由重庆市政府和新加坡贸工部共同主办的第一届2022重庆·新加坡体验周在渝成功举行,通过开展系列活动展现新加坡多元文化的独特魅力,为重庆市民带来“新”味十足的体验。

An experience season for urban camping culture consumption was held at Raffles City Chongqing.重庆来福士广场举办都市露营文化消费体验季。
Singapore’s consumption level ranks first in the world, and Chongqing is the only city in Central and Western China approved to build itself into an international consumption center. During the first Experience Week, a series of activities were organized, such as publicity activities and exhibitions, business forums, investment promotion, and activities related to consumption in urban business districts. The Experience Week fits well with the comparative advantages of the two places as Chongqing further focuses on the goal of “becoming international”, closely follows the theme of “consumption”, and highlights the function of “center”. These activities also expedite the development of a consumption city with unique characteristics to serve Western China and beyond in the ASEAN region and contribute to the development of an international consumption center city toward a new development pattern.
“New Journey in Chongqing” Displaying the Unique Charm of Singapore in All Aspects
As part of the highlights of this Experience Week, promotion activities themed on “New Journey in Chongqing” encompassed food consumption, brand display, lighting art, cultural performances,and tourism promotion. A featured experience of the “Lion City”was delivered at Jiefangbei in Chongqing, allowing Chongqing residents to experience the local customs and appreciate the charm of Singapore on the spot.
新加坡消费水平位居全球第一,重庆是中国中西部唯一获批培育建设国际消费中心的城市,首届体验周通过广泛开展宣传展示、商业论坛、投资推介、都市商圈等系列活动,充分契合两地的比较优势,推动重庆进一步聚焦“国际”目标、紧扣“消费”主题、突出“中心”功能,加快建设辐射中国西部、服务东盟的特色消费之城,助力国际消费中心城市建设,服务构建新发展格局。
“渝见·新旅程”全方位展示新加坡独特魅力
作为此次体验周重头戏之一的“渝见·新旅程”主题宣传推广活动,集美食购物、品牌展示、灯光艺术、文艺表演、旅游推介于一体,把“狮城”的众多特色“搬”到重庆解放碑,让市民就地感受到新加坡的风土民情和魅力。
Major business districts and other market players in Chongqing responded favorably, and activities such as the experience season for urban camping culture consumption were held at Chongqing Raffles City.SASSEUR Group launched SASSEUR Outlets International Consumption Week to lead international consumption fashion and advocate new ideas of an artistic life; during the Likely Wharf International Consumption Festival,the international photography exhibition and Chaozhou music performance were held; Singapore-themed activities were unfolded at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Terminal to display international brands; the health experience activity with the topic of “Good Health, Bright Future” was hosted by Raffles Hospital Chongqing.
Deepening Cooperation in Specific Fields Through a Series of Business Activities
In addition to the “New Journey in Chongqing” thematic promotion activities, the Experience Week also witnessed a host of business exchanges,including the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Fintech Forum, Singapore Smart City Development Sharing Sessions, China-Singapore (Chongqing)International Green Development Summit, China-Singapore (Chongqing)Arbitration Culture Promotion, China-Singapore Connectivity Initiative Culture and Tourism Cooperation Seminar & China-Singapore (Chongqing)Culture and Tourism Industry Alliance Inauguration Ceremony,China-Singapore (Chongqing) International Agricultural Cooperation Matchmaking Session, etc. By drawing on Singapore’s advanced experience in green development, commercial arbitration, smart cities,financial technology, and other emerging areas, Chongqing is cultivating more new growth points for further cooperation between Chongqing and Singapore.
全市各大商圈等市场主体积极响应,重庆来福士广场举办都市露营文化消费体验季等活动;砂之船集团公司推出砂之船奥莱国际消费周,引领国际消费时尚、倡导生活艺术新主张;鎏嘉码头国际消费节带来国际摄影展、潮音演绎活动等;重庆江北国际机场航站楼内开展新加坡主题活动,组织展示国际商品品牌;重庆莱佛士医院举办“享健康,赢未来”健康体验活动。
两地联动一系列商务活动深化领域合作

除了“渝见·新旅程”主题宣传推广活动,此次体验周还带来一系列商务交流活动,先后举办了中新(重庆)金融科技对话会、新加坡智慧城市建设经验分享会、中新(重庆)国际绿色发展高峰论坛、中新(重庆)仲裁文化推广活动、中新互联互通项目文旅合作交流会暨中新(重庆)文化和旅游产业联盟成立仪式、中新(重庆)农业国际合作对接会等。重庆通过借鉴新加坡在绿色发展、商事仲裁、智慧城市、金融科技等新兴领域的先进经验,为渝新两地深化合作培育更多新增长点。
In the past 7 years since the China-Singapore (Chongqing)Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity was carried out, a total of 218 cooperation projects worth USD25.26 billion participated by governments and businesses have been landed; 235 financial services projects valued at USD29.04 billion have been implemented. The new pattern of “face-to-face” cooperation between Western China and ASEAN countries, developed from China-Singapore “point-to-point” cooperation,was a breakthrough in expanding and opening comprehensive pilot areas for the tertiary industry and building an international consumption center.It also played an exemplary and leading role in these two aspects.
