The Change of a River in My Village

There is a small river in my village. It has changed a lot and makes me feel pity.

In the past， the river was clean and beautiful. It looked like an emerald silk ribbon（绿丝带） winding around my village. Fish and shrimps were swimming happily in it. By the river， rows of willows stretched their branches to its surface（水面）. A few wild ducks dived into the water， and flapped their wings to catch fish for food.

But now， the river is muddy. The willows on both sides begin to shed leaves（落叶） even before summer. There is no duck or fish anymore.

We should take action（采取行动） to protect our environment.
