The Peanuts Movie（《史努比：花生大电影》）改编自查尔斯·舒尔茨的连环漫画Peanuts（《花生漫画》）。影片讲述了小男孩Charlie Brown（查理·布朗）因为新同学红发小女孩的到来，非常希望甩掉“失败者”的标签，做一名“成功人士”，以得到新同学的关注，无奈麻烦依然不断。他精心准备了一个魔术节目，却因为妹妹演套牛人被同学嘲笑牛是假的，于是临时套上斑点布扮演奶牛;他考试得了满分，却在全校表彰大会上诚实吐露考卷不是自己的;他在舞会上勇敢地跳了一支弗拉门戈舞……他虽然没有成为一名“成功人士”，但最终如愿以偿成为了红发小女孩的笔友。《史努比：花生大电影》向我们证明了：每个人都有实现梦想的一天。

查理·布朗与红发小女孩成为搭档，共同完成一篇读书报告。可是红发小女孩因为家中有事而请了假，查理·布朗决定独自完成读书报告。

Marcie： Charles？ Ive never seen you in here before.

Charlie Brown： Oh， Marcie. Thank goodness（谢天谢地） I found you. Can you help me find a copy of Leos Toy Store？

Marcie： Did you say Leos Toy Store？

Charlie Brown： Yeah. Peppermint Patty told me you said it was the greatest ...

Marcie： Stop right there， Charles. Come with me. This is what youre looking for. Leo Tolstoys War and Peace（《战争与和平》）.

Charlie Brown： Ohhh. Yikes（表示惊讶，呀！）. How long was this war？

Marcie： Are you sure， that is the book you want to read？ Might I remind you， Charles， you only have the weekend to complete（完成） your report.

Charlie Brown： I have to， if Im gonna win that gold star.

Linus： Charie Brown， where have you been？ Its the first day of summer. You should be down there having fun with everyone else.

Charlie Brown： I cant stop thinking about it， Linus. After all the humiliating（丢脸的，羞辱性的） disasters（灾难，不幸） she witnessed（目睹） this year， why would she choose me？ Was she feeling sorry for me？ I dont want her to choose me just because she was feeling sorry for me. I have slightly（轻微地） more dignity（尊严） than that.

Linus： Charlie Brown， it might be time to consider the wild possibility（可能性） that youre a good person and that people like you. But you know， youll never really know the answer unless ...

Charlie Brown： I just go up and talk to her. I should have listened to you all along.

于是，红发小女孩告诉查理·布朗选他做笔友的原因。

The Little Red-haired Girl： Oh， hi， Charlie Brown.

Charlie Brown： You remembered my name？

The Little Red-haired Girl： Of course I did.

Charlie Brown： Before you leave， theres something I really need to know. Why， out of all the kids in our class， would you want to be partners（搭档） with me？

The Little Red-haired Girl： Thats easy. Because Ive seen the type of person you are.

Charlie Brown： An insecure（不自信的）， wishy-washy（不坚定的） failure（失败的人）？

The Little Red-haired Girl： Thats not who you are at all. I like the compassion（怜悯，同情） you showed for your sister at the talent show（才艺表演会）. The honesty you had at the assembly（集合，集会）. And at the dance， you were brave， and funny. And what you did for me， doing the book report while I was away， was so sweet of you. So， when I look at you， I dont see a failure at all. You have all the qualities（品质） that I admire（欣赏）. Sorry， I have to go now.

Charlie Brown： Wait. I think this belongs to you. （Charlie Brown gives her the pink pencil.）

The Little Red-haired Girl： Oh， thank you！ Ive been looking everywhere for this！ Ill write to you， pen pal.

Peanuts（《花生漫画》），是一部连载的漫画，作者是查尔斯·舒尔茨。该漫画于1950年10月2日开始在美国报刊上登载，至2000年2月 13日作者病逝时停止更新，刊登的漫画总数约为1万7千多则。漫画的主人公为Charlie Brown（查理·布朗），以及他养的小狗Snoopy（米格鲁猎兔犬史努比）。
