金色大海明镜展，

橫在彤红长天边，

大陆与影卧中间，

只剩狭长线一段。

礁如云来云如礁，

浮融互化共潋滟，

海面明亮金灿灿，

静静摇摆一叶船。

海是天的另一面，

天是大海深湛蓝，

哪是大陆哪是天？

肉眼几乎不可辨。

The golden sea its mirror spreads

Beneath the golden skies，

And but a narrow strip between

Of earth and shadow lies.

The cloud?like cliffs， the cliff?like clouds，

Dissolved in glory， float，

And midway of the radiant floods

Hangs silently the boat.

The sea is but another sky，

The sky a sea as well，

And which is earth and which the heavens

The eye can scarcely tell.

亨利·沃兹沃思·朗费罗（Henry Wadsworth Longfellow，1807—1882） ，19世纪美国最伟大的浪漫主义诗人之一，1807年2月27日出生于缅因州波特兰城的一个律师家庭，1822年进入博多因学院，与霍桑是同班同学。朗费罗毕业后去过法国、西班牙、意大利和德国等国家，研究这些国家的语言和文学。他于1836年开始在哈佛大学教授现代语言，致力于介绍欧洲文化和浪漫主义作家的作品。
