A day so happy.

Fog lifted early.

I worked in the garden.

Hummingbirds were stopping over the honeysuckle flowers.

There was no thing on earth I wanted to possess.

I knew no one worth my envying him.

Whatever evil I had suffered， I forgot.

To think that once I was the same man did not embarrass me.

In my body I felt no pain.

When straightening up， I saw blue sea and sails.

多么美好的一天。

晨霧早早地散去了。

我在花园里干活。

蜂鸟歇在忍冬花上面。

尘世间没有什么我想占有。

我知道没有谁值得我去艳羡。

所有我遭受的不幸已成过眼云烟。

想到我依然是过去的那个人，我并不因此感到窘迫。

在我身上痛楚全无。

挺起身来，我看见碧海蓝天，白帆隐现。

切斯瓦夫·米沃什（Czes?aw Mi?osz，1911—2004），波兰诗人，1980年诺贝尔文学奖获得者。诺贝尔文学奖给他的授奖词中说：“他在自己的全部创作中，以毫不妥协的敏锐洞察力揭示了人在充满剧烈矛盾的世界中的赤裸状态。”
