The annual art festival of Jinan No. 5 High School kicked off in early May 2021 as scheduled and will run until the grand day, July 1, 2021. Of course, the theme of the festival is “Celebrating the 100th Anniversary
of the Founding of the Communist Party of China”.
In the whole process of the art festival, home-school cooperation has become a powerful weapon to construct a new educational model. In addition to students and teachers, more parents have joined in the festival.
A red classic reading competition with the theme of national feelings came first. Each class must choose one program with parent participation. The entries include “Who is the the loveliest person ”, “RedRock”, “My South and North” and other red classics.
The school's parents' committee also set up the parents' choir of Jinan No. 5 Middle School. They will perform “Glorious China” in the art festival. The choir members are from different walks of life, including doctors, civil servants, businessmen and so on. However, in this event, they share a common identity: parents who have grown up with their children. Together with their children, they celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The parents' committee is well organized, with clear division of labor and strong sense of teamwork. Especially the parent who is in charge of conducting the chorus is pretty professional.
The grand finale of the art festival is a classic drama “Sister Jiang” produced by Shandong Liuzi Drama Troupe. This is also a classic red repertoire brought by our parents. We hope the spirit not only keeps her heroic deeds alive among the new generation of teenagers, but also inspires them to learn from her spirit of selflessness. It will be officially performed at the closing ceremony of the art festival.
This art festival undoubtedly provides us with a perfect opportunity. Parents' participation and support make our Party branch activity relying on the Art Festival more lively and vivid.
