A diet is more of a lifestyle, so deciding to cut down your calories during the happiest time of the year will only make matters worse. The desire for shortterm results actually leads to weight gain. The better choice is to keep your diet balanced throughout the holidays and aim to maintain, not gain your weight. Focus on proteins and pair them with fresh vegetables and fruits. Keep in mind that there will always be another meal in a few hours—and if you have to discipline yourself to have one or two meals during the day, you'll be thankful for it later on.
Make time for your workouts. It's a small amount of time we need to give to get a great return. Getting in 3060 minutes of exercise each day will mean a world of difference to your overall health mentally and physically. It is likely that you will make healthier decisions throughout the day, and feel happy that you manage to get your workout done.
Don't always leave things you should do until later. Make a list early and try to cross one or two things off your list each day. It will give you more time to do things you want to do, like making a healthy meal and getting a workout in—and it'll reduce a ton of stress when the holidays really arrive.
