Discussions of Exploring "41635" Potential of Food for More than 400 Million People through Developing "Fenlong Agriculture"

Abstract This paper discussed exploring "41635" potential of food for more than 400 million people through developing "Fenlong Agriculture" in China. It clarified that "5.0 Fenlong Technology" is composed of "drill type Fenlong tillage tools+Fenlong farming technology+Fenlong crop cultivation technology standards", and has coupling and interaction "common key technologies in agricultural production, resource utilization and ecological improvement, and "Great Science" connotation and characteristics, the yield increase rate for 40 kinds of crops in 26 provinces in China reached 10%-150%. China uses "5.0" Fenlong Technology" to develop "Fenlong agriculture" to implement the optimization and transformation of 67 million ha of cultivated land, 13 million ha of saline-alkali land, and 67 million ha of degraded grassland and related farming systems, excavating its new round of multiple activations and increasing the huge concentration of "gifted resources" such as soil, water, gas, temperature and light, develop "five systems", "big pattern", "rainfed and environment-friendly" and other types of Fenlong agriculture, so as to increase food, meat, fish and other food sources to feed 400 million people every year, increase natural soil storage by 100 billion m3, reduce groundwater collection by 60 billion m3, reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides by more than 30%, the comprehensive benefits including yield increase, quality improvement, water saving, chemical fertilizer reduction, ecological protection, and disaster reduction can increase by more than 50% (these are 41635 potential), to realize the objective that a place can feed its people by its own resources.

1 Introduction
Fenlong Technology is a new method of changing the traditional plow and harrow land preparation of dry land farming into vertical deep plowing and scarifying, the deep plowing and scarifying machine vertically smashes the soil and naturally suspends to form ridges. In order to increase China’s agricultural resources, optimize the technical system, purify and repair the soil and water environment, further broaden and stabilize the survival and development space of the Chinese nation, reduce disasters, and create environment with rich resources, fertile land and strong seedlings, and clean water, it is recommended that the Chinese state review the situation and take advantage of the original results of China’s 10 years of independent research and development-the new farming method "5.0 Fenlong Technology"[1]and its modern Fenlong agricultural machinery weapon, implement "Fenlong agriculture" project that has tremendous benefits. This project deeply cultivates, activates and utilizes the country’s cultivated land, plow pan and soil resources below the plow pan, expands resources such as saline and alkaline land, marginal land, degraded grasslands, rivers and water bodies, as well as its three-dimensional space and various available resources, implements an overall development of 67 million ha of cultivated land, 13 million ha of saline-alkali land, and 67 million ha of degraded grasslands,etc., explores a new round of great potential of gifted resources, including soil, water, air, temperature, sunlight, develops "five systems", "big pattern", rainfed and environment-friendly agriculture, and activates land productivity, to resurrect all kinds of organisms on land and water to achieve the potential target of "41635", that is, increase food for 400 million people every year, increase storage of natural precipitation by 100 billion m3on land soil, reduce collection of 60 billion m3of groundwater, and reduce the use of fertilizers and pesticides by more than 30%, and increase comprehensive benefits (such as production increase, quality improvement, water saving, fertilizer saving, ecology, and disaster reduction) by more than 50% (annual new benefits are not less than 1 000 billion yuan) to meet the safety needs of the country’s food, ecology, water resources and national health, and manage agriculture in a more scientific and modern way. In this paper, we discussed exploring "41635" potential of food for more than 400 million people through developing "Fenlong Agriculture" in China.
2 "Great Science" features of the "5.0 Fenlong Technology" achievements and measures to achieve the "41635" project
2.1 Concept of "5.0 Fenlong Technology" and features of "Great Science"
2.1.1Concept of "5.0 Fenlong Technology". Fenlong tillage tool has a "spiral drill", which can vertically and deeply rotate the arable land. When cultivating at a depth of 30-50 cm, the soil layer will not become messy, and the land preparation task can be completed at one time, which is 33.3%-66.7% deeper than the US patent (US20110192618A1 tillage system) and takes the leading position in the world. "5.0 Fenlong Technology" is an all-round technological change and a milestone scientific discovery in the history of human agriculture. Its farming exceeds human, animal and mechanical mechanized farming. It belongs to the "level 4 jump version" of farming methods, but because Fenlong Technology is more than doubled than mechanical farming, and the yield is increased by 10%-100%, we named it "5.0 Fenlong Technology". In 2017, 5.0 Fenlong Technology was listed as the main technology by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. "5.0 Fenlong Technology" is composed of "drill type Fenlong tillage tools+Fenlong farming technology+Fenlong rice and maize cultivation technology standards". It was developed the research team of Wei Benhui from Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It has coupling and interaction "common key technologies in agricultural production, resource utilization and ecological improvement, and "Great Science" connotation and can be called "Chinese Fenlong Technical System". Its core is ultra-deep tillage, deep loosening and no mess of soil layers, completes the land preparation task at one time, and is constructed as a "super tillage layer" (1-2 times deeper than traditional) and a "super soil reservoir" (increasing the natural precipitation per ha per year about 600 m3), achieves a new round of functions such as "activating soil, multiplying water retention, reducing salt and purifying soil, and improving ecology". It can be widely used in the existing cultivated land (paddy field and dry land) and various types of saline-alkali land, degraded grassland, desert land ecological reconstruction,etc., can maximize the use of soil, water, gas, temperature, light and other types of "gifted resources." The "Great Science" feature of "5.0 Fenlong Technology" can multiply the potential resources of the environment, deeply exploit the land productivity and increase the natural precipitation of soil storage, and promote human beings to enter a new era of "utilization of Fenlong resources".
2.1.2Top 10 "natural forces" are a future development platform for "people live by nature". Fenlong Technology prized the "limit law" of the soil productivity and exploited 10 "natural forces": (i) making the earth’s surface suitable for arable land and deepening tilling 1-2 times, and increasing the amount of soil loosening 1-2 times[1-5]; (ii) increasing the soil water retention by 1-2 times (except for crop utilization, reducing floods and drought disasters)[6-9]; (iii) increasing the amount of dissolved oxygen in the soil by one times and increasing the soil temperature by 1-2 ℃[2-3,10]; (iv) increasing the amount of beneficial microorganisms in the soil by one times[11-12]; (v) increasing the amount of soil available nutrients by 10%-30%[1,4,11,13-16]; (vi) reducing the amount of soil salt by 20%-40% (the purification of harmful substances in the soil remains to be observed)[16-18]; (vii) increasing the net photosynthetic efficiency of crops by 5%-30%[1]; (viii) reducing the emission of soil methane and other gases by about 10%[19]; (ix) increasing the ground air humidity by more than 10%; (x) increasing the crop biomasses by 20%-30%, increasing the economic yield by 10%-150%, and increasing the economic benefit by more than 15%[1, 20-22]. These "natural forces" not only give humans the gift of food, but also "heal the body of nature", reduce disasters such as floods, droughts, high temperatures, low temperatures, and even climate warming.
2.1.3"Limit law" of soil productivity. "Fenlong tillage machine+traction tools" (such as open box, ridge, border or sowing, fertilization) can be operated at the same time with the machine to complete the tasks of sowing and fertilizing the land, replacing the tractor "deep turning+raking+lifting box (ridge and border) and other multi-step sowing and fertilization, low cost and high efficiency, deepen the loosening of soil 1-2 times, reduce the use of fertilizers and pesticides and irrigation, without the need for complicated technical training and other inputs, maximize the soil production capacity, realize "automatic generation" effects such as production increase, quality improvement, water retention, and ecology.
2.2 Establishing five major technical support systems including "breeding (seed industry)+Fenlong+new agricultural machinery+appropriate water conservancy+appropriate fertilizer and pesticide"It adjusts the current four major agricultural technology and resource support systems "breeding techniques (seed industry)+tractors (plowing, deep loosening and shallow rotary tillage techniques)+water conservancy (artificial irrigation, groundwater pumping irrigation)+chemicals (chemical fertilizers, agricultural films,etc.)" into five technical support systems "breeding (seed industry)+Fenlong (activation of various land resources and multiplying water temperature and light resources)+new agricultural machinery (Fenlong super deep tillage and deep loosening and informationization, intelligence+partial tractor farming)+appropriate water conservancy (Fenlong uses natural precipitation to reduce artificial irrigation and groundwater pumping irrigation)+appropriate amount of fertilizers and pesticides (reduction of 20%-30% chemical fertilizers, agricultural films,etc.), which can break through agriculture, realize production increase, awaken the "bottleneck" of cultivated land productivity. Its core is to use Fenlong agricultural machinery and Fenlong farming technology to deepen the average cultivated layer of cultivated land in the country from 16.5 to 36.5 cm. After one time of Fenlong, no-till or light tillage can be continued for 3-4 years, saving farming and saving energy, making low-yield fields into middle-yield fields, middle-yield fields into high-yield fields, and high-yield fields changed into higher-yield fields, multiplying the use of "gifted resources" to create "excellent farmland+excellent method+excellent state (ecological environment increases the use of light, temperature, water, gas,etc.)", complement the current "short board" of the potential of increasing the yield of fine varieties, and use the "physical fertility" to realize a sharp reduction in the amount of chemical fertilizers.
2.3 Expanding the "big pattern agriculture" of the Fenlong "cultivated land+saline and alkaline land+degraded grassland+marginal land+desertified land+river water body"It is required to scientifically utilize the three-dimensional space resources of the country to expand the current shallow-tillage cultivated land agriculture (12-20 cm deep) into "big pattern agriculture" of "cultivated land+saline-alkaline land+degraded grassland+marginal land+desertified land+river water body". Specifically, it is to use Fenlong to expand and adjust 50%-60% of cultivated land (deepened to 30-40 cm)+saline-alkaline land (13 million ha)+partly degraded grassland (67 million ha)+partly marginal land improvement+desertified land+river water body (under the condition of reducing chemical fertilizers and pesticides by 30%-50% in the whole country). The agricultural resources can increase by more than 30%, water resources increase by more than 50%. The comprehensive benefits including yield increase, quality improvement, water saving, chemical fertilizer reduction, ecological protection, and disaster reduction can increase by more than 50%, the newly increased grain, meats, fishes can feed 300-400 million people, to realize the objective that a place can feed its people by its own resources. For 67 million ha of the existing 120 million ha of cultivated land, it deepens the average arable layer of 16.5 to 36.5 cm, activates and utilizes the unused plow pan and soil resources below the plow pan to rice, maize, wheat,etc., which can increase the productivity by 20%. Calculated at an average annual increase of 1 500-2 250 kg of grain and other agricultural products per ha, it can annually increase the grain yield 1 500 billion-2 250 billion kg.
Through the physical transformation of 13 million ha saline-alkaline land, and the newly increase of grain yield can reach 60 billion kg. Through Fenlong 40 cm of light and moderate type saline-alkaline land one time, it can increase the yield by more than 20%; through Fenlong 40 cm of severe type saline-alkaline land 3-4 times, it can change the 0-20 cm arable layer to moderate type saline-alkaline land and use as normal cultivated land, and can increase the yield by more than 50%. Through transformation of 67 million ha degraded grasslands, it can increase 130 million ha of the supply of meat and milk output. Using Fenlong Technology, farming at the bottom layer does not damage the grass cover, and an underground water reservoir can be established to utilize the natural precipitation ecology, it can increase grass yield two times. Using Fenlong Technology to build soil reservoir, 147 million ha of land resources can increase 675 m3of natural precipitation per ha per year, land can store and conserve about 100 billion m3water resources every year, 20 million ha land can reduce the collection of 60 billion m3of groundwater, reduce droughts, floods, waterlogging disasters, restore the ecology of groundwater resources, ensure sufficient water resources in rivers, and promote industrialization, urbanization and ecological improvement across the country. Rivers (water source will increase by about 20%) and offshore waters, the total amount of chemical fertilizers and pesticides can be reduced by about 30%-50%, the fish yields were restored, and the supply will be doubled.
2.4 Developing dry land rain-fed agriculture, paddy field environmental protection, economic forest fruit, Chinese medicinal materials and other agriculture to promote benign changes in the planting system
2.4.1Land reclamation and consolidation and high-standard farmland construction: unique advantages of Fenlong Technology. China should build 53 million ha of high-standard farmland, take the advantage of Fenlong Technology, deep plow and loosen dry land 40 cm, paddy field 28-30 cm, conduct one-time farming, combined with green manure and straw return to the field, increase the production capacity 30%-15% within 3-5 years; land reclamation and consolidation also can take this method.
2.4.2Developing dry land rain-fed agriculture: saving water and promote ecological protection and increase yield through Fenlong Technology. For the North China, Northwest and Northeast Plains, dry land Fenlong 40 cm, zero irrigation, water saving can reach 4 500 m3/ha, and the yield increase can be 10%-20%. Zero-irrigation of sugarcane in Guangxi can increase yield by more than 20%. Using Fenlong Technology, it is able to reduce the collection of groundwater resources and maintain the ground ecology.
2.4.3Reform of paddy field cultivation system-Fanlong multi-crop environmental protection cultivation. In paddy field using Fenlong Technology, there is no water leakage and fertilizer, zero fertilizer application can increase the yield by more than 15%[5]. Fenlong Technology can prevent the outflow of water, soil and fertilizer, reducing the chemical fertilizer application by 20% can still increase production by more than 15%. After deepening and reconstructing the arable layer in Fenlong paddy field, the effect can last for 3-5 years, and it can be used in the cultivation of rape, green manure, vegetables, potatoes and other crops, which can increase income by more than 15%[4,15,23], Rapeseed and green manure bloom in winter and spring, and can also be used as a sea of flowers for people to enjoy.
2.4.4Protective tillage of black soil land in Northeast: Fenlong+no-tillage (or light tillage). One time of Fenlong can play the role of protective tillage for many years. It can retain soil, water and fertilizer, increase production and restore the ecological advantages of black soil.
2.4.5Significant changes in agronomy in the northern area: integration of Fenlong cultivation and planting, efficient technology for expanding land, saving water and saving work. At present, the planting agronomy in the dry land in the northern area is tractor rotary tillage or deep raking, even suppression, setting up ridges to protect the water for planting, irrigation and watering 2-3 times during the whole growth period, about 4 500 m3/ha, water consumption is high, the soil is compacted, the fertilizer utilization rate is low, and the water source is mainly groundwater. For the dry land in the northern area, irrigation can be carried out, fertilizer is applied, no protective water ridge is set before Fenlong (to increase the utilization rate of cultivated land), seed of wheat and maize should be soaked, deeply loosen 40 cm. Integration of Fenlong farming, sowing, and soil covering technology not only can expand the land, save water, protect ecology, and increase efficiency, but also realize the same machine of cultivation and planting, let the crops mature in advance, seize the space and time, change single season to double season, double the multiple cropping area during the year, and realize significant changes in the planting system.
2.4.6Significant changes in dry land sugarcane agronomy in southern China: integration of Fenlong and no-tillage, water-storage type ecological yield increasing technology. For sugarcane in the dry land in the southern area, the traditional planting soil layer is only about 20 cm. The root system grows horizontally to the bottom hard soil. When drought occurs, the yield will decline. The bottleneck of "drought in spring, autumn and winter and low temperature in winter and spring" greatly restricts the yield increase, the yield per ha has remained at 67.5 t for many years. Fenlong deep loosening 40 cm can tackle this problem, especially for developing dry land sugarcane "145" model: in the first year, planting at a narrow row 0.9 m, Fenlong 0.55-0.60 m, wide row 1.6 m, no-tillage; perennial roots four years; in five years, the cumulative raw sugarcane yield increased by 75 t/ha. The second round of "145" model is carried out in no-tillage wide row. Alternation in this way promotes a sustainable annual increase of about 15 t/ha of dry land sugarcane in the southern area.
2.4.7Efficient use of gentle slope forest land: developing Fenlong forest and fruit industry. China has a large area of gentle slope forest suitable for Fenlong farming, so it can use the advantages of Fenlong to develop high-efficiency economic forest and fruit industries including fruit trees, camellia, and tea.
2.4.8Adapting to China’s health strategy: developing Fanlong Chinese herbal medicine industry. Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Ningxia and other places can use Fenlong Technology to plant valuable medicinal materials such asAstragalusmembranaceus,Bupleurumchinense,etc. Preliminary studies have shown that the demonstration base has high yields and good varieties, so it can be used without application of any external pesticides and fertilizers, develop large-scale, green, safe, high-efficiency planting of wild Chinese medicinal materials industry to benefit China’s Chinese medicine industry.
2.4.9Mitigation of haze disasters in northern areas: implementing Fenlong agriculture. The implementation of the above-mentioned Fenlong agriculture can save water, increase humidity, save fertilizer,etc., reduce farmland dryness, reduce dust and gas pollutants, such as nitrogen oxides, ammonia,etc., thereby reducing the haze disaster.
2.4.10Agriculture big data: Fenlong application. Taking Fenlong one-time operation, it is able to complete tillage, sowing, and fertilization tasks simultaneously, and it is able to apply Fenlong Technology with the aid of "Beidou" satellite navigation and related data collection.
3 Scientific basis, necessity and feasibility of using "5.0 Fenlong Technology" to realize the "41635" project
3.1 Through using "5.0 Fenlong Technology" to 40 kinds of crops in 26 provinces across the country, its ultimate productivity effect can fully optimize China’s agriculture and its technical system
3.1.1Under the condition of zero fertilization, 5.0 Fenlong Technology is a green productivity platform that can increase the yield by 13%-17%. Through measurement in many places and points, under the condition of zero fertilization, rice, maize, wheat, peanut,etc. have increased the yield by 13%-17%, and they can achieve continuous multi-season yield increase[1,3-4,14,16].
3.1.2The yield increase rate in the whole country is up to 10%-150%. In the past 10 years, "Fenlong Technology" has been applied in cultivated land, saline-alkaline land[17]and more than 40 kinds of crops including rice,[4,14,21], maize[3,11,13,15,18,23-24], wheat[5], potato[25], sugarcane[7,20], cotton, barley, and has shown that the yield increase rate can reach 10%-150%[1,26].
Take the results of third-party testing or expert acceptance in 2019 as an example: (i) Major Project of Guangxi Science and Technology Drive "Fenlong Rain-fed Sugarcane Cultivation Demonstration and Ecological Mechanism Study on Yield and Quality Improvement", after August in 2019, the rainfall decreased by more than 60% compared with the previous year and it belonged to drought year, when sugarcane yield was generally reduced by 10%-20%, six sugarcane sites that used Fenlong rain-fed technology increased the yield by 10 650-61 950 kg/ha compared with traditional cultivation, the increase rate was 19.94% to 62.39%. (ii) In the 4th year of maize planting once cultivated by Fenlong Technology in Guyang Town, Lankao County, Henan Province, the yield per ha increased by 1 465.5 kg, a 14.1% increase. (iii) For the demonstration of planting wheat in the coastal saline-alkaline land transformed by Fenlong Technology in Dongying agricultural high area of Shandong Province, the increase was 3 386.4 kg/ha, an increase of 154.22%. (iv) For the demonstration of high-yield cotton planting in the 4th year of Fenlong saline-alkaline land reconstruction in Yuli County, Xinjiang, the increase was 2 781.75 kg/ha, an increase of 81.7%. (v) For Fenlong highland barley cultivation demonstration field in Shannan City, Tibet, the increase was 954 kg/ha, an increase of 20.03%. (vi) For Natong Fenlong rice demonstration site in Longan County, Guangxi, the increase was 1 317.75 kg/ha, an increase of 23.85%. (vii) Nanjing Institute of Soil Sciences of Chinese Academy of Sciences increased the average yield of sweet potatoes planted using Fenlong Technology for the first time in 2018 by 103%, and it planted cassava using Fenlong Technology in 2019 and realized the yield increase about 100%. (viii) Wang Chunxiang, a large farmer in Yanshan County, Hebei Province, planted wheat with zero irrigation after using Fenlong Technology in October 2018. The output was measured by experts from the local agricultural bureau in June 2019. Fenlong zero-irrigated wheat increased by 5 563.5 m3/ha than the deep-loose land; in November of that year, experts measured the yield of the second crop of zero-irrigated maize, the yield increase was 930 kg/ha compared to the deep-loose land preparation and irrigation, an increase of 10.47%; the third crop was planted in October 2019 with zero irrigation of wheat, and now the seedling rate and plant traits are excellent and the root system is especially developed. It is expected to save water and increase both the yield and income. (ix) For the yield increase rate of Fenlong Technology in Ningxia, in saline-alkaline land, the rice is more than 20%, the maize is more than 30%, the potato is more than 28%, and the carrot is more than 40%.
3.1.3The overall quality is improved by about 5%, and protein, selenium and zinc are increased by more than 10%. By testing many crops planted using Fenlong Technology, the results showed that the crop quality improved by about 5%[1,14,21]. Especially the plant protein, such as rice protein increased by 0.6%-1.3%, the increase rate was 5.61%-14.61%, soybean protein increased by 4.2%, the increase rate was 12.00%, forage crude protein increased by 2.63%, the increase rate was 18.79%; cassava starch content increased 4.5%, the increase rate was 18.67%, sugarcane sugar content increased by 0.22-0.54%, the increase rate was 1.55%-3.63%. The selenium and zinc healthy for human reached 0.097 8 and 13.13 mg/kg of rice respectively, which are 78.14% and 15.99% more than that from tractor farming; while the harmful elements arsenic and chromium are 0.33 mg and 1.8 mg, respectively, which are 37.74% and 5.26% lower than that from tractor farming.
3.1.4Application of chemical fertilizer is reduced by 10%-30%. For production of 100 kg grain, the chemical fertilizer can be reduced by 0.35-4.29 kg, the reduction rate is up to 10%-30%.
3.1.5Relative benefit increases by 20%-50%. According to statistical analysis in Guangxi, Gansu, Xinjiang,etc., Fenlong Technology loosens the soil more than one time than the traditional tillage, and no tillage or light tillage for 3-4 years. The normal cost of farming per ha is 1 800 yuan (traditional tillage is 900 yuan), and the yield increases by 20%-50%, the benefit increase is about 20%, some even more than 50%. The large planting farmer Li Qiang in Halahong Village in Xingping Township of Yuli County in Xinjiang adopted Fenlong Technology to transform the severe saline-alkaline land, and realized annual income increase of 11 475 yuan/ha, the increase rate was 53.85%.
3.2 The "5.0 Fenlong technical" system and theoretical system have been recognized by academicians and experts, and have gained wide social attention
3.2.1The "5.0 Fenlong technical" system and theoretical system. The "5.0 Fenlong technical" system and theoretical system have 13 invention patents such as Fenlong machinery, tillage and cultivation, and transformation of saline-alkaline land, published 4 monographs, published more than 70 papers, and promulgated seven standards for Fenlong machinery and Fenlong rice, maize, wheat, and initially clarified the "Fenlong Theory" and "Fenlong Law"[26]. This "integrated fulcrum" has the ability to "pry the earth" (move the world).
3.2.2Concern and recognition of more than 10 academicians. Academician Yuan Longping, father of hybrid rice and winner of the National Highest Science and Technology Award, highly praised and wrote to the Ministry of Agriculture for recommendation and this research funding. Academician Li Zhensheng wrote a letter to congratulate; Liu Xu and Zhang Hongcheng gave "original" and "international leader"appraisal; Zhao Qiguo and Rong Tingzhao, Dai Jingrui, Shan Lun, Jiang Yiyuan, Xie Huaan, Li Peicheng, Zhang Xinyou, Zheng Jielian and other academicians gave their affirmation and support.
3.3 The shortage of agricultural resources in China, the serious pollution of cultivated land and water, the increase in food production is close to the "ceiling", and the practice of relying on the application of chemical fertilizers and pesticides to achieve "high yield and super high yield" is unsustainable
3.3.1China must create a development path of friendly expansion of the "keeping the rice bowl" resources. Food comes first to human. Humans have been facing the threat of food shortage for millions of years. The great famine of China has always been "The wilds were full of dead bodies of the starved". In 1942, the famine in Henan killed 3 million people; China has cultivated land resources only accounting for 7% of the world, but has to feed 22% of the world’s population. For a long time, such great burden will lead to great problem because things will develop in the opposite direction when they reach the limit. Thus, friendly expanding the bowl resources is the only way.
3.3.2Forced strategic needs for ecological restoration. China’s cultivated land, water and air pollution have reached a serious level, and it must be activated from the three-dimensional space resources of the country, incremental expansion, dilution and restoration before it can return to the historical original state of the natural environment.
3.3.3Grain yield increase has been close to the "ceiling". In 2019, the average yield per ha of China’s main grain was as follows: rice was 7 065 kg/ha, an increase of 33 kg/ha (0.5%); wheat was 5 625 kg/ha, an increase of 14.3 kg/ha (3.9%); maize was 6 315 kg/ha, an increase of 1 211.5 kg/ha (3.5%); soybean was 1 935 kg/ha, an increase of 40.5 kg/ha (2.2%). Compared with 1983, the average yield per ha of rice increased 1 965 kg/ha (38.53%), wheat was 2 835 kg/ha (101.17%), maize was 2 691 kg/ha (74.25%), soybean was 645 kg/ha (50.0%). These data show that China’s major food crops have experienced a 30-year peak production increase, the increase potential is limited. Relying on application of chemical fertilizers and pesticides to increase yield will deteriorate the pollution and increase the risk of unsustainability. Using "5.0 Fenlong Technology" to implement "41635" project, it is hopeful to change such passive situation.
4 Conclusions
4.1 China can create a "century-beneficial project" for sustainable agricultural development, and can also provide "Chinese technology solutions" for the worldThe full implementation of Fenlong "41635" Project in China can transform 67 million ha of cultivated land, 13 million ha of saline-alkali land, and 67 million ha of degraded grassland to reconstruct "resource-friendly agriculture", explore a new round of potential, activate tremendous force of gifted resources such as soil, water, air, temperature, and light. Besides, using ecological agriculture such as "five systems", "big pattern", "rain-fed environmental protection", it is able to activate plow pan, and soil resources 15-30 cm below the plow pan, saline-alkaline land, degraded grassland, river water body resources, to realize long-term, friendly, deep and integrated utilization of vertical space resources, weaken the land productivity, resurrect all kinds of organisms on land and water, and greatly change the agricultural production mode, technical system, and development concept. As a result, it will give out high quality food resources, bring great dividends for environment and national health. Thus, it not only is a "century-beneficial project", but also provides "Chinese technical solutions" for the world community of human destiny.
4.2 The economic and ecological benefits are not less than 1 000 billion yuan, and many development difficulties and problems will be solvedIf the above 147 million ha land resources adopt Fenlong Technology, calculated based on an average input of 1 800 yuan/ha (actual fuel consumption per ha, 750-1 050 yuan for mechanical depreciation,etc.), the total cost of one-time farming is 264 billion yuan, including machinery policy subsidies, that is, the total national contract commitment is 300 billion yuan. Thus, the annual increase of grain, meats and fishes can feed 400 million people and ensure that the bowls are kept by ourselves. In addition, land can store and conserve about 100 billion m3water resources every year, 20 million ha land can reduce the collection of 60 billion m3of groundwater, which are valuable resources. In summary, the explored physical fertility can reduce application of chemical fertilizer by more than 30%, and can increase comprehensive benefits (such as production increase, quality improvement, water saving, fertilizer saving, ecology, and disaster reduction) by more than 50%, the annual new benefits are not less than 1 000 billion yuan. These are obtained by gifted resources with the aid of Fenlong Technology.
4.3 Increasing farmers’ income, rural revitalization and industrial poverty alleviation are also effective waysAfter Fenlong replacing the tractor tillage, the farmland quality is improved, agricultural production is increased, and rural revitalization gets material foundation. If farmers provide some money and government provides Fenlong subsidy, calculated the increase of 3 000-7 500 yuan/ha, the farmers will obtain stable income increase, so this is an excellent poverty alleviation policy.
4.4 Making complex agriculture simple and ecological, to adapt to the future development of China’s national conditionsFenlong Technology can intelligently integrate traditional agricultural plowing, raking, compacting, ridging, sowing, mulchingetc.; all kinds of land resources and rivers and water bodies are used in an integrated manner. This not only reduces fertilizer and water, but also is ecological, reduces manual input, so it is suitable for China’s national conditions.
4.5 Huge effect brought about by "Fenlong Agriculture" and its scientific and technological contribution rateIn China, "Fenlong Agriculture" can promote agricultural resources and water resources to increase by 30% and 40%, respectively, and the increase of high quality grain, meats, and fishes can feed 300-400 million people, and the increased food sources account for about 50% of the future increase amount. Besides, the disasters such as droughts and floods and high and low temperature can reduce about 30%, agricultural fertilizer and irrigation water costs can reduce by 20%-30%; the agricultural scientific and technological progress contribution rate can account for about 40%; the improvement of high quality foods, ecological environment and air quality can increase the national health index by about 10%, and the medical care cost will decline about 10%.
