International Peace Organizations Express Sympathy and Support to the CPAPD regarding the Battle Against the COVID-19 Outbreak

Since the COVID-19 epidemic outbreak,the CPC, the Government and the Chinese people have worked together in unity to overcome the temporary difficulties, always placed the people’s life safety and health in priority, launched a people’s war, general war and blocking war to combat the pandemic.Having made a vigorous efforts and profound sacrifices, the epidemic outbreak prevention and control within China have turned for the better, and the production and life order have resumed rapidly. Currently, the COVID-19 epidemic is spreading across the whole world,and brought huge challenges to the global public health security. Virus finds no boundaries, the pandemic outbreak is our common enemy. To that end, those foreign peace organizations, security think-tanks,well-known dignitaries’ as well as social personages, etc. that have exchanges with the CPAPD through letters, e-mails or publishing articles to express sympathy and support to the CPAPD and through the CPAPD to the Chinese people,and call on the international community to strengthen cooperation, and work hand in hand to overcome the pandemic.
On January 24, Anatoly E. Karpov,Chairman of the Russian International Association of Peace Foundations in a letter shows his deep concern to the epidemic outbreak in China, and deeply believes that the Chinese leadership and medical circle will try their best to overcome it in the shortest time possible.
On January 27, Kemet Boutros Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge, Egypt show great admiration to the strong will,heroic mettle moral and resolute spirit demonstrated by the Chinese Government and people in the face of COVID-19 outbreak. The Chinese Government at different levels have adopted strict prevention and control measures, and we are sure these measure will effectively prevent the epidemic outbreak from further proliferating.
On January 27, Joseph Azwihangwisi Netshikulie, Research Fellow of Safety and Violence Initiative, South Africa and Jeanette,Research Fellow of Denis Hurly Peace Institute,South Africa express they pay close attention to the epidemic outbreak and expect the Chinese people to get free from the virus infection on the early date possible.
On February 5,Mr.Austin Christopher Ong,Director, Integrated Development Studies Institute,the Philippines explains that the Chinese Government facing the pandemic outbreak has adopted rapid response, made active efforts and achieved important results, in sharp contrast to the U.S.response to the H1N1 flue in 2009, and just as WHO director-general Tedros states that China is becoming a new criteria for responding to the epidemic outbreak
On February 26, Mr. Tetsuo Kaneko,Representative, Hiroshima Council against A-and-H Bombs, Japan expresses the highest consideration to the Chinese people who unite as one and work under the firm leadership of President Xi Jinping, effectively contain the pandemic outbreak, as well as believes that the China-adopted prevention and control measures are sure to win the ultimate victory.
On February 27,Mr. Fujita Takakage,Director General,Japanese Association for Inheriting and Developing Murayama Statement, says that the pandemic outbreak is proliferating in Japan, and wishes China, Japan and the whole world to triumph over the epidemic outbreak on an possible early date.
On February 28, Mr. Juan E. Battaleme,Academic Secretary, Argentinean Council of International Relations, believes that General Secretary Xi Jinping personally plans the anti-epidemic work, which plays the critical role in containing the further spread and deterioration of the epidemic outbreak. The Argentineans firmly support the Chinese anti-epidemic efforts and are willing to provide assistance within its capacity.
On March 2, Mr. Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry,former Foreign Secretary of Pakistan and Director General, Institute of Strategic Studies,Islamabad,extends his best regards to the Chinese Government and people for the heroic struggle against the epidemic outbreak, and believes that the anti-epidemic efforts should not only be made by China alone, and could only be victorious through strengthening cooperation in the international community.
On March 8, Chris Matlhako, General Coordinator of South African Peace Initiative,and Second Deputy General Secretary of the South African Communist Party, highly praises the anti-epidemic efforts made by Chinese Communist Party, and hopes that various countries in the world to collaborate together to triumph over the novel conoravirus.
On March 11, Kazybek Shaikh, Chairman of the Fund of Peace of the Republic of Kazakhstan, believes that various countries in the world speak highly of the Chinese anti-epidemic efforts, and thank the Chinese people, the Chinese Communist Party and President Xi Jinping for their efforts to gain precious time for all countries, and sincerely wish China to win the battle against the epidemic outbreak on a possible early date.
On March 12, Iraklis Tsavdaridis,Executive Secretary of the World Peace Council conveyed his respects and support to the Chinese people. He believes that the Chinese Government with serious and responsible attitude has adopted targeted and effective measures to combat the epidemic outbreak, currently the confirmed conoravirus cases are declining,economic recovery shows a strong momentum, and various governments in the world are learning the Chinese example and achievements in combating the epidemic outbreak.
On March 23,Mr. Sen Nakata, Chief Director, NPO SEKAI, Japan, speaks highly of the resolute measures taken by the Chinese Communist Party and great efforts made by the Chinese people in unity, and speaks highly of the heart-felt assistance given to countries including Italy as its domestic epidemic prevention and control are still serious, and prey for an early triumph over the epidemic outbreak across the world.
Canadian Global Affairs Institute Vice President Colin Robertson,and Canadian Peace Congress Executive Member Kiran Mehdee firmly believe that China is surely able to withstand the pressure and triumph over the epidemic, the Canadian people are ready to provide necessary help, will deepen cooperation with China’s NGOs and make more contributions to promoting friendship between the two peoples.
The Korean National Peace Committee, the Center for Conflict and Peace Studies,Afghanistan, etc. firmly believe that the Chinese people will get united and surmount difficulties under the strong and brilliant leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party.
Bhaskar Koirala, President of Nepal Institute for International and Strategic Studies,through the Chinese Embassy donated 100,000 rubees(about US$1000)to support the Chinese people’s efforts against the COVID-19 outbreak.
Up to March 31, friendly organizations that have conveyed their sympathy and support through messages also include following organizations: Pathfinder Foundation of Sri Lanka,Armenian Institute for National Defense Strategy, Institute of East Asian Community of Japan, All-India Peace and Solidarity Organization, Bangladesh Peace Council, Brazilian Center for International Relations, Peace and Friendship Organization of Mongolia, the Philippine Council for Foreign Relations,etc.
The CPAPD expresses sincere gratitude to the sympathy and support given by those friendly organizations particularly the above-mentioned to us as we are in the most difficult times, and will forever keep in mind and treasure this friendship. China upholds the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, is ready to share the effective practice and gained experience for preventing and controlling the epidemic with various countries, and provide assistance to those countries with the epidemic outbreak within its capacity. China’s efforts for the epidemic outbreak treatment and control have won high praise from the international community and the World Health Organization,and the history will also give a fair and objective assessment. We are opposed to all behaviors of stigmatizing and targeting at any particular country by using the epidemic outbreak, because that is nether moral nor fair,neither in favor of the international community to carry out effective anti-epidemic cooperation nor in favor of various countries to concentrate on the epidemic treatment and control. We call on the international community to consolidate confidence, work together, respond in unity,comprehensively strengthen international cooperation, create a strong synergy to overcome the epidemic outbreak,and collaborate hand in hand to win the battle of mankind against this major infectious disease.
