China has become the largest producer and exporter of masks,protective clothing and other pandemic prevention supplies

Due to the effective control of the local COVID-19 pandemic， and the previous related production capacity has been greatly improved， China has become the largest producer and exporter of anti-pandemic products such as masks and protective clothing， helping many countries in the world to fight against pandemics. Except for China， reporters from the Global Times have reported that there are not many countries or regions that continue to export medical supplies.

The New York Times recently reported that the daily output of Chinese masks was 10 million at the beginning of February， and soared to 116 million after only four weeks. According to a report by the General Administration of Customs， P. R. China， from March 1 to April 4， a total of about 3.86 billion masks were exported， 37.52 million pieces of protective clothing， 2.41 million pieces of infrared thermometers， and 16，000 pieces of ventilators， 2.84 million boxes of COVID-19 detection reagents， 8.41 million pairs of goggles. The relevant person in charge of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce also revealed that as of April 4， 54 countries （regions）， 3 international organizations and Chinese enterprises have signed commercial procurement contracts for medical supplies， and there are 74 countries and 10 international organizations are conducting commercial procurement negotiations with Chinese companies.
