Next-level youth exchange

Youth delegates from different countries.

Every year, the beautiful campus of Peking University in China's capital welcomes an enthusiastic group of young people from Southeast Asia to the prestigious school to brainstorm future directions of regional cooperation and development. With innovative inspirations and anticipation for the future beaming from their eyes, the minds of the youth melded to create sparks.

The 11th China-ASEAN Youth Camp(CAYC) and the 4th China-ASEAN Youth Summit (CAYS) provided a stage for young delegates representing 11 countries to communicate face to face, share views, gain a deeper understanding of different cultures, find like-minded friends and seek growth from learning to solve problems.

Since its launch four years ago, CAYS has introduced new highlights each year.Compared to previous events which were attended mostly by ASEAN students studying in Chinese universities alongside Chinese students, this year attracted strong attendance by youth delegates coming from ASEAN countries as well as representatives from governments, businesses and non-governmental organizations. They participated in discussions, shared experience and proposed optimized cooperation frameworks. While inheriting the tradition of focusing on academic discussion, this year's summit added a diverse range of cultural activities and field visits. With origins traceable back to spontaneous organization by college students, CAYS now fosters a blend of sparkling youth and sharply amplifies young voices.
