On September 25th, advised by China Chemical Fibers Association, and sponsored by Fujian Baichuan Resources Recycling Science & Technology Co., Ltd.,“Baichuan Products, Colorful Recycling - Baichuan Science & Technology Regenerated Colored Yarn Products Conference and Green Textile Exchange Conference” was convened in Shanghai .

At this conference, the project of “Baichuan regenerated waterless dyeing colored yarn supermarket”was officially launched. The start of this project has solved three key problems well: first, environmental problems have been solved. Compared with the environmental pollution caused by traditional dyeing and printing process, it can promote the sustainable development of the environment; the second is to solve the contradiction between the production R&D end and the market demand end. The production end is limited by R&D technology, the product has a long coloring cycle, high color replacement cost and cannot be produced in small batches. The regenerated waterless dyeing colored yarn supermarket solves the scale of the production end. It has realized the fast response, fragmentation and small batch ordering of the demand side, which satisfies the sporadic order demand of the customer; the third is to promote the development and application of the product, and the process can be supported from the design, development to the shipping sample process. It satisfies the designers ultra-fast response and ultra-small order demand, and realizes the personalized customization plan by self-service ordering.Zhang Feipeng, Chairman of Fujian Baichuan Resources Recycling Science & Technology Co., Ltd., said: “In the past 15 years, Baichuan Science & Technology has been focusing on the research and development of regenerated colored filaments, continuously guiding the upstream and downstream industry chain to achieve responsible production and consumption, and efficient use of resources to achieve consumption reduction and quality improvement, reduce resource consumption and environmental pollution during the product life cycle, increase the net income of economic activities, and finally achieve sustainable production and consumption patterns. This is not a fast road, it is difficult to achieve overnight, in the future, the whole industry in all fields need to reach consensus and participate together.

Furthermore, he introduced the regenerated waterless dyeing colored yarn supermarket project in detail, and showed the environmental protection effect of the project visually with a set of data. According to estimates, each ton of regenerated colored yarn can recycle 40,000 - 50,000 waste beverage bottles, save 90 tons of water, save 1.5 tons of petroleum resources, reduce coal burning by 2 tons, reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by 48 kg, etc. He said that as a pioneer of the industry, Baichuan Science& Technology has been adhering to the strategic positioning of enterprises with friendly environment, customer satisfaction and quality first. By creating a new model, the R&D technology and market demand are organically combined. Based on the Internet + regenerated waterless dyeing colored yarn supermarket project, we will make full use of the innovative model of “thousand-color inventory, quantity-accustomed-to-customer”, unite with government agencies, university research, enterprises, and consumers, and directly look at the “collision” of textile industry demand and contradiction and seeking a way to balance the realistic contradiction, technological contradiction and demand contradiction.

From raw material end to brand end, resonance of green textile development

At the exchange conference, Professor Wang Huaping, Director Lian Zhijun, representatives of the university and research institutes, Duan Furong, a representative of the brand, and Barrie Turner, Baichuan Science& Technology overseas strategic partner, shared with the participants from the development status of regenerated fiber industry, the development and industrialization direction of dope-dyed fiber, the green sustainable development concept of end-brand dealers, etc.

Professor Wang Huaping made a report on “The status and development of regenerated fibers”. As the worlds largest producer of chemical fiber, China has a total reserves of over 200 million tons of waste chemical fibers, including 45% of clothing, 27% of home textiles, 28% of industrial fibers, and annual growth of nearly 10 million tons. Polyester fiber is the leading variety of chemical fiber, and its recycling is the key to the sustainable development of textile and chemical fiber industry. He proposed that we should break through the current bottleneck of waste materials recycling technology and form an innovative process plan based on the polyester fiber textile life cycle with the integration of “dividing, combining, adjusting, specializing, high and clean” with consideration of cost and quality. The industrial design of the engineering design realization program. For the construction and development of the regenerated polyester fiber industry in the future, he believes that efforts should be made from deepening the industrial system design, logistics system, basic research, industrial technology, green evaluation of life cycle and control, pollution mechanism research, and recycling of varieties.

Lian Zhijun fully explained the economic value and social benefits of the dope-dyed fiber by comparing the difference of dye selection, equipment price, product quality and production cost between dope-dyed fiber and conventional dyed fiber. Regarding the problems in the development of dope-dyed fiber, he said that first, product varieties need to be expanded, and high-quality, high-end, and functional routes should be taken; and the second is that efforts should be made at the level of standardization and digitization to achieve flexible preparation of products. Therefore, in the future, quality improvement, function expansion, energy consumption reduction, and technological innovation will become the development direction and key tasks of the dope-dyed fiber.

Duan Furong, a representative of brand, has been engaged in fabric development, supply chain management and sustainable development in many well-known clothing brand enterprises abroad. He knows the importance of international clothing brands in sustainable development. He believes that the purchasing cost of brand companies directly affects the progress of green and sustainable development of textile industry. With many brand enterprises announcing the purchase strategy of regenerated fibers and implementing the replacement of raw materials and closed-loop cycle, digital supply chain and retail have become an important direction to promote industry change. Therefore, brand companies look forward to working closely with suppliers to improve product process, shorten time and develop more flexible products to meet personalized needs.

Barrie Turner, Baichuan Science & Technology overseas strategic partner, said: “The plastic waste generated after consumption is causing a huge global problem. We must be responsible for the future, seek like-minded people, and work together to make major changes. Our cooperation with Baichuan Science & Technology is very pleasant, because they can meet our very strict production plan, improve the development process in order to meet the requirements of mass production level, and are always ready to meet major challenges and assume responsibility.

From static display to dynamic release, this event shows the social responsibility of Baichuan Science & Technology for sustainable development in textile raw materials field in detail and comprehensively. From raw material end to 100% waste beverage bottles, technology end to waterless coloring process, product end is applied in bags, shoes, home textiles and other fields, and high-end products such as high-end waterproof regenerated polyester fiber without finishing. It shows the technical advantages and market positioning of a regenerated polyester fiber manufacturing enterprise.
