A Time for Joy

Since the founding of the Peoples Republic of China 70 years ago， the Chinese peoples sense of fulfillment and happiness has been increasingly enhanced. Especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China （CPC） in 2012， the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core has remained dedicated to a peoplecentered notion of development， and taken improving the peoples wellbeing and wellrounded development as the starting point and ultimate goal of all work.

Over the past 70 years， China， the worlds largest developing country， has gradually emerged from poverty. It is now the worlds second-largest economy， ranks among the top countries in terms of comprehensive national strength and has significantly improved its peoples living standards. The Chinese nation is experiencing a great process of transformation — it has stood up， grown rich and become strong.

As the world reviews the impressive accomplishments of China， one factor is especially worthy of deeper examination： Which aspects of development have most cemented public satisfaction and united the hearts of hundreds of millions of Chinese people？

The answer is not hard to find. Since the founding of the Peoples Republic of China 70 years ago， under the leadership of the CPC， China has made notable progress in economics， politics， culture， social services， ecology and many other fields. Chinese people have greatly benefited from the countrys development and changes， and their sense of fulfillment and happiness has grown stronger. Especially since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012， the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core has remained dedicated to a people-centered notion of development and taken improving the peoples wellbeing and well-rounded development as the starting point and ultimate goal of all work.

“The peoples wish for a good life is our goal，”emphasized Xi Jinping. The greatly improved living standards of each and every Chinese have driven the great rejuvenation of the whole Chinese nation and shined a spotlight on the original aspiration of the CPC. Countless touching stories related to improving peoples lives over the past 70 years have become embedded in the heart and mind of every Chinese.
