Performers dance during the opening ceremony of the Fourth Silk Road （Dunhuang） International Cultural Expo and the Ninth Dunhuang Tour-Silk Road International Tourism Festival in Hezuo， northwest Chinas Gansu Province， on July 30.
The expo and festival aim to promote cooperation and exchange among countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Senior officials from culture and tourism authorities of Belt and Road participants and heads of international organizations are scheduled to attend the events， which will run for 40 days and feature over 30 cultural activities across Gansu.
