Visitors select books at the booth of China International Publishing Group during the 2019 Shanghai Book Fair on August 14. A total of 160，000 titles from more than 500 publishers were displayed during the weeklong event which kicked off the same day.
More than 1，000 reading-related activities were also held in Shanghai and bookstores across the country， marking the fi rst time the fair had been extended to other regions.
