At that time, there was a great archer named Houyi who shot nine suns and became a hero. So Change married him. Her husband got the Pill of Immortality and gave it to her to keep it. One day when her husband was not at home, a bad guy broke into her house and tried to despoil the Pill of Immortality from her. Under that dangerous situation, in order to protect the Pill of Immortality Changee had no choice but to swallow it. As a result, she left the ground and flying into the sky. Eventually she flew to the moon and lived there becoming the goddess of the moon.
When her husband returned to home, he was inconsolable and every night he cried out his wifes name again and again towards the moon. Finally, the gods of the heaven were moved by him and allowed him to turn into the Jade Rabbit and sent him to the moon to company with Change. Once upon a time, there was a woodman named Wu Gang on Earth who didnt want to be a woodman but was addicted the magic power which can only be owned by the gods in the heaven. Therefore his behavior made the Almighty very angry and he was sent to the Palace. He was told that once he cut down the huge osmanthus tree, he would attain the magic powers. Therefore, Wug Gang cut the tree with his ax day after day. But it was very strange that he couldnt cut down the tree and the cleaving scar disappeared seconds after each stroke. It was because that the Almighty wanted to punished Wu Gang and conjure the magic on the tree. Although he continued his labors very hard day after day, the tree still grew verdantly and heavily sheltered the palace beside.
