although

引导让步状语从句，意为“虽然；尽管”，可和though互换使用，但两者均不可与but连用。例如：

Although he is very old,he still works very hard.他虽然年纪大了，但仍然很努力工作。

Though it was raining,we went there.尽管天下着雨，但我们还是去了那儿。
