The 76th Mekong River joint patrol led by China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, sets off from Guanlei Port, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture in southwest Chinas Yunnan Province, on November 20.
The patrol lasted five days and covered over 500 km to enhance anti-terrorism capabilities, safeguard security and crack down on cross-border crime.
Since December 2011, the joint patrols have covered more than 39,500 km, with 122 merchant ships rescued and 582.28 kg of drugs seized.
