APStar-6C In-orbit Delivery Completed

On August 7, China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC) under CASC and APT Satellite held an on-orbit delivery ceremony for APStar-6C satellite at the Tai Po Satellite Ground Station in Hong Kong. The APStar-6C satellite completed its in-orbit delivery to customers.
APStar-6C is China’s 10th wholly exported commercial communications satellite. It is conducted based on the APStar-6C satellite in-orbit delivery contract signed in October, 2015.
According to the contract, as the general contractor, CGWIC is responsible for the design, construction, assembly, test and launch of the satellite together with the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT), the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) and the China Satellite Launch and Tracking Control General (CLTC), as well as the inorbit delivery of the APStar-6C communications satellite and related ground TT&C equipment to the APT Satellite.
The satellite was developed by CAST. Based on the DFH-4 platform,APStar-6C has a design life of 15 years.It will provide satellite communications and broadcasting services for customers across the Asia-Pac ific region and supply more support for the nation’s Belt and Road Initiative. (CHANG Xuan)
