NEW CARD

A Taiwan resident who has been living on the Chinese mainland receives his new mainland residence permit card at a police station in Fuzhou， southeast Chinas Fujian Province， on September 3. A new regulation on the application and granting of residence permits for people from Hong Kong， Macao and Taiwan went into effect on September 1. The new residence permit cards aim to provide more convenience for those living， working and studying on the mainland.
