Trade Increases Between Mekong Countries and Yunnan

Trade volume between southwest Chinas Yunnan Province and the five countries along the Mekong River grew by 13.4 percent year on year to reach 81 billion yuan (US$12 billion) in 2017, customs in the provincial capital Kunming said on Jan. 18.
Trade between Yunnan and Myanmar is about 42 billion yuan (US$6 billion), 52 percent of the total, it said.
Kunming Customs said it had carried out cooperation with customs authorities in these countries in exchanging information, fighting cross-border crime and customs clearing.
