Major Events Coming This Year

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi introduced the highlights of four important diplomatic events China will host this year at a press conference on March 8 on the sidelines of the annual session of the National Peoples Congress.

First， the Boao Forum for Asia annual conference will be held in Hainan this April， with focus on reform and opening-up.

Second， the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will take place in Qingdao this June， with focus on revitalizing the Shanghai Spirit.

Third， the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation summit will happen in Beijing this September and focus on the Belt and Road Initiative.

Fourth， the First China International Import Expo will be held in Shanghai this November， with focus on further market opening.
