“New Development,New Retail,New Intelligence”

In the afternoon of March 14th, “New Development, New Retail, New Intelligence” China Home Textiles and Household Supplies Influence Forum was held in National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Guided by China Home Textile Association and jointly cosponsored by China Textile Magazine, Home Textile Times Magazine and China National Textile and Apparel Council Media Center, the forum aimed at popularizing “carry on originality and precision manufacturing” positive energy and advocating persevere and innovative enterprise spirits in order to better cultivate local brands and elevate right of speech of enterprises in China home textile industry.

Yang Donghui, former vice president of CNTAC and former president of China Home Textile Association, Yang Jun, executive vice president of China Textile Enterprise Association, Xu Hong, editor-in-chief of China Textile Magazine, Zhu Cheng, president of Jiangsu CHAN Garment Co., Ltd., Liu Yiqiang, vice president of Suzhou TP Technology Co., Ltd., Shan Pengfei, general manager of China Home Textile.com as well as relevant leaders, experts, home textile enterprise representatives, buyers, agents and media participated in this forum.

Yang Donghui made a keynote speech on the forum, giving his unique opinion on the three “new”involved in the forum theme “New Development, New Retail, New Intelligence”, and expressing that,“its never too excessive to talk about new things in such an era”. Home textile industry is closely related to peoples life. Present new development should also be closely associated with new expectations of people for beautiful life; “new retail” is included in new channel within a larger category, nowadays there are not only online and offline forms but also Wechat business, Wechat supply, etc., and this requires that enterprises should broaden their vision and adapt their new marketing patterns to new commercial form; “new intelligence” is changing whenever and wherever possible, and home textile intelligence should run through production, circulation to consumption fields.

Home textile industry enjoyed growth in steady process in 2017. Home textile industry is standing on a brand-new starting point in 2018. A journey of one thousand miles begins with one step, and how to continuously adapt to changed market demand and adjust business thought from the three “new” angle involved in this theme so as to realize steady development have become problems needing in-depth researches by our home textile enterprises.

Yang Jun made a keynote speech, expressing that 2018 was an “opening year” for comprehensively carrying out spirits of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. 2018 is also a year full of hope for various causes in Chinas textile industry to win “new starting point”, step towards “new altitude”and open “new pattern”.

New change has proposed new requirements for industrial development quality. Not only environmental protection construction should be comprehensively strengthened to promote sustainable development but also the objectives and tasks put forward in Made in China 2025 should be combined. Textile industry is also vigorously accelerating “intelligent manufacturing” progress. Productivity system of Chinas textile industry is experiencing comprehensive upgrading, and competitive advantages of labor forces are transformed from quantity towards quality; IoT technology, sensor and intelligent manufacturing technology are rapidly developing; data has become an important resource, value content of textile materials is continuously elevated, and performance, function, cost performance, availability, economical efficiency and environmental protection are continuously improved— innovative development has become the industrial consensus.

Home textile field is an important link in textile industry, and the new era has proposed new requirements for home textile field from upstream fabrics to terminal channel sales. Next, hotspots home textile enterprises pay attention to will mainly focus on three aspects: consumption, patter and technology. Intelligence, new retail and quality improvement will become key words for development of home textile industry.

New retail under social economy

Zhu Cheng made a speech themed on “new retail under social economy”, explaining the profound in simple terms that, “more swarm fishes are needed in the mobile internet era. Ability and method of gathering these small fishes are needed to become a large fish leading these swarm fishes. The new pattern “Wechat business + chain + e-commerce”+ social e-commerce should be carried out step by step.

Zhu Cheng believed that the essence of social ecommerce was human-centered consumer demand upgrading. At the wind gap of this era, this is rightly the best time to grasp these opportunities. Enterprises should analyze what their competitive products are and what core values are. Then they will sell these products and values and share them to corresponding consumer groups. This is the driving and transforming force of social contact as well as the most powerful and practical force at present.

Challenges and opportunities in China home textile intelligent manufacturing

Liu Yiqiang made a speech themed on “challenges and opportunities in China home textile intelligent manufacturing”. Starting from changing course of economy and international society and development history of industrial 4.0, he analyzed production pattern and profit model of flexible production. Meanwhile, he introduced order management, equipment management and production management details in intelligent factories and shared R&D; results of robots replacing labor forces as well as actual benefit transformation status of present oriented development cases. From “manufacturing” to “intelligent manufacturing”and from theoretical guidance to enterprise examples, Liu Yiqiang gave experience sharing with different and individualized values.

Afterwards, list of winners of 2018 “China Home Textiles and Household Supplies Brand Meida Influence Awards” and “Premium Brand Award for Intelligent Equipment in China Home Textiles and Household Supplies Industry” was announced on the forum. Awards on this forum lasted one year from project approval, investigation, primary election to final evaluation. Visiting investigation was carried out in the market, representative Chinese home textile brands were comprehensively surveyed, and under the guidance of a whole set of scientific and rigorous index system and supervision of expert judgment panel consisting of associations, experts within and outside the industry and over 50 industrial media and fashion media, scoring was comprehensively implemented from multiple indexes like brand publicity force, social influence and consumer preference degree, and finally 25 awardwinning enterprises were elected out.

23 enterprises won “China Home Textiles and Household Supplies Brand Meida Influence Awards”. They won their deserving laurels by virtue of their own unique advantages. They were respectively: Luolai Home Textile, Beyond Home Textile, Hengyuanxiang Home Textile, Hodo Home Textile, Fuanna Home Textile, Lansiu Home Textile, Violet Home Textile, Baoman Home Textile, Linpure Home Textile, Goldsun Home Textile, Datang Home Textile, Beijirong Home Textile, Menglan Home Textile, Jili Silk, MUJI, Dragon Home Textile, LOFTEX Towel, Sunvim Towel, Sanli Tower, Yongliang Towel, Grace Tower, Gaoyang Textile Trade City and CHAN Household. The 23 enterprises could win this award not only because of market promotion and publicity of brands over the years as well as cultural sedimentation and sublimation but more due to trust in their product quality and recognition of their consumption concepts.

Moreover, high-quality industrial development cant go without scientific and technological innovation of intelligent equipment. As inexorable trends of textile industrial development in the future, intelligence, informatization and digitization are important pushing hands for the industry to realize new “science and technology, fashion and green” localization and transformation & upgrading. 2 enterprises winning“Premium Brand Award for Intelligent Equipment in China Home Textiles and Household Supplies Industry” were appraised and elected out through comprehensive media review, being: TPET and Sunrise.

New era, new journey and new deed. We believe that “New Development, New Retail, New Intelligence” China Home Textiles and Household Supplies Influence Forum is only a new starting point of constructing a large beautiful home era.
