Step 1.Warm-up
1.General greetings.
2.Free talk.
T:There are many famous Chinesestories.SuchasKong Rong and the Pear.Cao Chong weighs an elephant.The story of NanGuo.ThestoryofSima Guang.(PPT出示相应故事的图片)
T:Do you know the story about a rabbit and a tortoise?
Ss:Yes.
T:We know the rabbit is fast,the tortoise is slow.There was a race betweenthem.But in the end the tortoise won the race.Why?Who can try to talk about it in English?
S:Therabbitlaughedat the tortoise and they had a race.The rabbit felt tired and went to sleep.Sothetortoisewonthe race.
T:Verygood.Nowlet’s learn this story.
设计思路:通过谈论《孔融让梨》《曹冲称象》《南郭先生》《司马光砸缸》等学生耳熟能详的中国著名童话故事,自然引出本节课的故事《龟兔赛跑》,并鼓励学生大胆用英语对故事进行简单描述,营造浓浓的阅读氛围,激发学生的阅读欲望,让学生尽快进入学习状态,为下面的故事学习做好充分准备。
Step 2.Presentation

(PPT上出示三个问题,并附上阅读要求:1.选择适合自己的阅读方式:朗读或者默读;2.注意正确使用阅读技巧,例如抓住重点词或者重点句子。)
设计思路:学生们已经了解这个故事的中文意思,再给他们足够的时间去阅读故事,他们很快就能找出三个问题的答案。学生在读故事的时候,教师适时提醒学生注意正确使用阅读技巧,培养学习策略。

设计思路:改变之前“师教生学”的教学模式,在回答问题的过程中引导学生将难点各个击破,理解故事的主要情节,让学生在自己解决问题的过程中获得成就感和满足感。其中,新词lake以换字母的形式呈现给学生,不仅帮助学生理解了词意,而且对ae结构的发音规则进行了复习,巧妙夯实了语音知识。整节课的板书由四个大图,三个句子组成,让学生对整个故事一目了然。

设计思路:“总分总”的教学方法到此环节一目了然,即通过整体自由阅读——设置问题理解——观看动画感悟,把故事完整地呈现给学生,动画能够吸引学生的注意力,让他们带着问题去听故事,巩固对本课内容的掌握。
Step 3.Drill
1.听音模仿,内化知识。
T:We know there is a dialoguebetweentherabbitand the tortoise.I choose some interestingsentences.Listenand imitate.(PPT出示对话)
Rabbit:You are so slow!
Tortoise:You are wrong,I am not slow,but I don’t like to hurry.
Rabbit:Oh,no,I slept too long!I’m sure to win.
Tortoise:I won the race!
Ask the students to perform theshortdialoguewithposters in front of the class.
设计思路:现场完整地表演故事对学生来说难度较大,因此教师只把有特点的几个句子拿出来,让学生细听、模仿,引导学生用心体会乌龟和兔子在说这几句话的时候,他们的心理变化和神态变化,之后让学生戴着头饰把对话生动地表演出来。这样的设计降低了故事表演的难度,更贴近学生的实际,让他们在尽量真实的语境中感知、体验、习得,逐步形成综合语言运用能力。

设计思路:学生在理解整个故事并完成表演之后,在教师的引导下能够用三个精要的句子来概括整个故事大意。在游戏环节中,教师用“香蕉引大象”的方式,有计划、有步骤地把小短文中的主要词汇慢慢去掉,让学生进行故事复述,直到最后课件里只剩下first,then,finally三个词……此环节中,学生记忆力得到了锻炼,口语能力得到了提高,阅读兴趣得到了提升。最后,鼓励学生用自己的语言来表述故事,在交流分享中练习口语表达能力。

设计思路:通过两个问题的讨论让学生展开想象的翅膀,发散思维,在问题的引导下创编新故事,为他们创造表达的机会进行情境交流,并借机对他们进行思想教育,即做事要端正态度,全力以赴,不能因循守旧,恃才傲物。以此发展学生的思维品质,使他们获得审美体验,实现文化意识、语言能力、学习能力的全面发展。

设计思路:分层作业能让不同层次的学生都在原有的基础上有收获、有提高。学生把课内故事延伸到课外,学困生可以读给父母听,学优生可以表演给父母看。此外,教师有意识地鼓励学生进行海量阅读,并提供参考书目。这样的作业既加深了父母与孩子之间的感情,又巩固了知识,真正让知识活起来、用起来。
