Nanshan Aluminum Discussed with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) to Further Deepen Cooperation

On the afternoon of July 16th, 2018, at the Farnborough International Air Show, Cheng Rence, Chairman of Nanshan Aluminum, led a team to visit the booth of COMAC to deeply discuss about the raw materials purchase and primary processing, in order to further deepen cooperation.

Chairman Cheng presented the developments of Nanshan Group and Nanshan Aluminum, highlighted the R&D, certification and bulk supply of aviation panels of Nanshan Aluminum for major aircraft manufacturers as Boeing, AirBus and Bombardier, as well as the progress of AirBus’s certification for profiles. With the mission of vitalizing the Chinese aviation panel industry, Nanshan Aluminum actively undertook the tasks of R&D of high-performance 2524 aluminium alloy skin materials for C919 aircrafts, next-generation high-damage tolerance 2024HDT aluminium alloy thick plates and 7050-T7451 structural parts, undertook the COMAC 2xxx & 7xxx panel production model construction platform project sponsored by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and has now officially passed the 7050-T7451AMS data package and site audit and is expected to become a supplier of COMAC by the end of July 2018.

General Manager Zhao Yuerang highly recognized the achievements of Nanshan Aluminum in terms of R&D, certification and batch production of aviation materials, and said that he will lead his team to immediately interface and communicate with the team of Nanshan Aluminum, in order to quickly include Nanshan Aluminum into the list of suppliers of COMAC. At present, COMAC has launched ARJ21 aircrafts, including corporate aircrafts, executive aircrafts and C919 &C929 models. As ARJ21 has realized batch production, Nanshan Aluminum will be able to provide raw materials for ARJ21 aircrafts after becoming a qualified supplier of COMAC. COMAC was also glad to advance the cooperation with Nanshan Aluminum in the primary processing of aviation materials.

In addition, according to Chairman Cheng Rence, Nanshan Aluminum, as an aviation materials manufacturer, was willing to partner with COMAC for common growth, thus contributing to the Chinese big aircraft industry. Meanwhile, both sides agreed to arrange mutual visit after the Show, in order to enhance communication and discuss about the further cooperation.
