China Launches 5 Satellites into Orbit Atop A LM-2D

China launched Shiyan-6 satellite and four nanosatellites, i.e. Tianping-1A, Tianping-1B, Jiading-1 and a software-defined satellite, on a LM-2D carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 7:40 Beijing time on November 20th, 2018. The satellites successfully entered their preset orbit.
Shiyan-6 will be used for conducting space environment exploration experiments.
Among the four nanosatellites, Tianping-1A and Tianping-1B were developed by Aerospace DFH Development Ltd, Shenzhen under the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), the software-defined satellite was developed by the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the Jiading-1 was developed by Shanghai OK Space Ltd.
This was the 292ndfight of the LM series launch vehicle as well as the 32nd flight of the LM series launch vehicle in 2018, less than 30 hours after the last launch. (CHEN Li/CASC)
