And as progress moves far ahead, internet, the double-edged sword, is spreading in every corner of the world. However, bad information now has the ability to go viral to thousands, even millions, of people in cyberspace. And teenagers who cannot distinguish right and wrong clearly, are the first to be affected. The rate of teenage cyber crime is increasing sharply, which not only causes a great loss to the economy, destroys the social stability, but also influences the growing up of a new generation. This research is designed to analyze what features youngster cyber crime have, why its rate is increasing, and what measures should take to solve the problem.
【Key words】Youngster Cyber Crime
Now is the most crucial moment to establish, strengthen and develop their world outlook including their learning psychology. They have grown up with technology to accept new knowledge. But everything has two sides, internet also has advantages and disadvantages. Along with the youngster cyber crime becoming even more violent, it is certain to bring enormous losses to the country and the society and intensity the instability of the social situation if it keeps on, so we should admit no delay to strengthen researches of its characters, analyze the causes and take effective measures to relieve this serious social problem.
According to the latest statistic from “the report about the development of the internet in China” released by CNNIC (China Internet Network Information Center) in 2013, the number of cyber citizens is up to 59.1 millions and the netizens between 10 to19 accounts for 23.2%.
There are two main aspects for youngster cyber crime. The teenagers network addiction comes into a big problem progressively in our country. Some of them use their high computer technology to commit various crimes, including online fraud and theft, invasion of privacy and release of fake information. Some teenagers focus on studying technology just because they want to raise others concern.
Another aspect is the society. Network has the features of openness, pluralism and initiation with all kinds of information and thoughts and cultures cracking down together, which means to some extent, traditional morals binding has been weakened. However, the hysteresis quality of network morals is conductive to solve teenagers confusion about what is right and wrong. And virtual world will strengthen fluke mind. For an analogy, when you are using a credit card not cash to pay for the bill, you will not have too many bad feelings about spending money. The same for the teenagers who break the law on the internet, all the behaviors happened virtually, so they may not realize that they are committing crime. Furthermore, on the internet, bad words and lies are spreading everywhere, and no one will prevent you and educate you. The result is that teenagers are hardly responsible for what they said or what they did, decreasing their sense of social responsibility and mixing their basic outlooks.
According to the reasons, our measures to relieve youngster cyber crime should be targeted. As for teenagers, they should be properly trained, both by education and experience. Relevant departments such as police departments and legislatures should strengthen network environment supervision and support the daily maintenance and security protection of websites. Those computer games or game websites that involve in violence, blood and pornographic should be marked dazzlingly for juveniles.
In conclusion, although the rate of youngster cyber crime is rising, we should still have the confidence to make the best of this double-edged sword. As Chairman Mao once said, young people are the sun at seven and eight oclock. In any cases, the young are the hope for our country and our future, and when they are off the right track, anyone should undertake the obligation to haul them back to promote the societys harmonious and stable development.
