Children from northwest Chinas Shaanxi Province perform a folk dance during the opening ceremony of the Silk Road Stories program onboard the Majestic Princess cruise ship in Rome， Italy， on May 21.
With a capacity of 7，000 passengers， the ship will travel through the Suez Canal， along the Gulf and into the Indian Ocean before arriving in Xiamen on June 26. It will make 22 stops in 13 countries en route.
The program， co-hosted by the Chinese Peoples Association for Friendship With Foreign Countries and the Carnival Corp.， the worlds largest leisure travel company， introduces Chinese culture to foreign passengers. A series of cultural events will unfold along the way.
