Sarah Winchester lived in California. She was a very

When Roy was four years old, his father died in an accident, leaving his mother and him. After Roy left high school, he wanted to go to 1 in his hometown. It meant his mother would pay 2 money for his college education.

These days, cars are designed using computers. Let’s look at how a new car is created.

After a meeting, I returned to my hotel room late in the evening. The overhead light outside my door was 1 and I had difficulty finding the keyhole. When I finally opened the door, I 2 around the wall for a light switch(开关).

Recently, I felt like I reached a very low point in life. My relationships weren’t good. I wasn’t 1 my classes, and I felt like I had nothing to look forward to. Several years ago, I was at a train station in Amsterdam. I saw a young homeless man 1 people for money to buy breakfast. Most of the 2 simply took no notice of him or gave him a dirty look. Tonight I am more than happy to read out the winners of the photo competition. 1 with the past years, we received many more photos. Even though all of the photos are excellent, we are 2 to say that we cannot give prizes to everyone.

The person 3 won the prize for the subject Nature is Li Wei. Li took a photo of the trees in Xiangshan Park. His photo shows the great colors on the hill.

The photo which we liked best in the City and People group was taken by Zhao Min. Zhao Min is only twelve years old. Her photo shows a person 4 across a street on an windy evening. It is a beautiful girl, wearing a blouse and skirt, who is protecting her books 5 the shower.

The best photo in the Music group was 6 by He Zhong. His photo of the group Crazy Feet shows the singer, Becky Wang, and the band playing at a concert. He Zhong 7 to show how this great new band moves and sounds.

The 50-year-old farmer, Wu Yulu, is quite different from the others at his village. He is the 1 of 38 handmade robots.

Born in a 2 family, he did not have the chance to go to school. But, even as a child, he knew he wanted to make machines. “I think 3 machines is a talent I was born with,” he said.

In 1987, he finally finished his 4 robot that could walk like a man. He named it “Wu No. 1.”

It was the first week of the summer vacation. Dad said to Mike, “Charlie hurt his foot and can’t 1 for two weeks. Can you work with me on the 2 ?” Charlie was Dad’s helper.

Last Friday, after doing all the family shopping in the town, I wanted to have a rest before catching the train. I 1 a newspaper and some chocolate and went into the station coffee shop.
