THE YEAR OF THE RED FIRE ROOSTER EXPLAINED
鸡年大吉
This year's Lunar New Year celebrations run from January 28 to February 15, 2017. The Lunar Calendar is associated with the 12 animal signs of the Chinese Zodiac, and 2017 is the Year of the Rooster. Once every 60 years, this year is also linked to the element of fire, making it the Year of the Fire Rooster, which last occurred in 1957.
