在中国—东盟博览会的舞台上,中国和东盟10国以合作诠释共赢,合作共赢之路越走越宽广。经过14年的长足发展,中国—东盟博览会已成为促进中国与东盟合作的有效公共平台。
我和东博会共同成长
毛・维斯那是柬埔寨商业部贸促总局展览事务部科长,已经第9次参与东博会。说起自己与东博会的缘分,他笑称自己在东博会的“舞台”上逐渐成长,也见证了东博会的长足发展。
“第一次参会时我还只是个负责东博会相关工作的新人,职权无足轻重。但如今我已经拥有了10年的参会经验,我也因此开始承担较为重要的责任,参与到东博会各项重大的筹备工作中去。”毛・维斯那在出席第14届东博会高官会时接受了中外媒体联合采访。他告诉记者,他眼中的东博会,人气和知名度都很高,是促进中柬经贸合作的一个重要平台,柬埔寨政府每年都把它当作一个重大活动来积极筹备。
毛・维斯那的“东博会故事”只是中国与东盟合作加速的的一个缩影,耕耘数载,东博会已硕果累累,在过去的13届东博会中,共有63位中国和东盟国家领导人、2700位部长级贵宾出席,58.4万客商参会。促成了中马“两国双园”、中国—东盟信息港等一批重大项目落地,成为中国—东盟合作的有效公共平台,推动中国—东盟自贸区升级和21世纪海上丝绸之路建设,树立了互利共赢的典范。
凝心聚力 合作共赢
2017年3月13日,第14届东博会高官会在广西南宁举行,会议透露,第14届东博会将于2017年9月12~15日在南宁举办。
为了进一步推动东博会升级发展,提高经贸实效,来自中国和东盟10国的东博会共办方高官畅叙发展,共商筹备第14届东博会,持续推动海上丝绸之路、自贸区升级版建设之大计。
中国—东盟博览会秘书处秘书长王雷在会议上介绍,本届东博会将以“共建21世纪海上丝绸之路,旅游助推区域经济一体化”为主题,以中国—东盟旅游合作年为契机,以贸易、投资、旅游合作为重点,推动中国—东盟自由贸易区升级版建设,促进区域经济一体化朝着更高水平互利共赢的方向发展,使21世纪海上丝绸之路从共识走向务实,努力实现“友好合作迈上新台阶,经贸实效实现新超越,多领域交流取得新成果,展会影响力又有新提升”的总体目标。
中国商务部亚洲司官员凌霄也表示,将继续做好东盟各国领导人和部长的邀请工作,促进政商高端对接,并加强中国与东盟的国际产能合作,完善投资促进工作机制,把东博会打造成为企业间相互投资的权威平台。
新亮点缤纷呈现
2017年是东盟成立50周年,中国—东盟旅游合作年,中国—东盟关系迎来新的机遇,新一届的东博会将进一步拓展中国与东盟的合作,增进中国与东盟国家的友好互信,深化双边的互利合作。
为有效促进东博会发挥好平台作用,第14届东博会将联合中科院等70多家研究院,向东盟国家推介中国航天、化工、通信、装备制造业等高新技术,促进具有产能优势的中国企业到东盟国家投资,将“中国智造”融入中国—东盟产能合作领域。
“我们将继续推进‘一主多专、巡展并行’的办展格局。”王雷秘书长介绍,2017年5月将在文莱斯里巴加湾举办2017东博会文莱展暨文莱首届中小微企业展,6月在越南河内举办“2017东博会机电展(越南)”,继续办好农业、轻工、林业、文化、旅游等专业展。
值得一提的是,第14届东博会将着力打造面向全球的经贸合作平台,鼓励RCEP(区域全面经济伙伴关系)成员国、“一带一路”沿线国家借助东博会平台加深国际经贸合作。为突出国际经贸合作,东博会将原有的“特邀贵宾国机制”改名为“特邀合作伙伴机制”,邀请“一带一路”沿线国家出任本届东博会特邀合作伙伴。
春的花蕾,秋的收获。新形势下的第14届东博会将给中国—东盟交流合作带来哪些丰硕的成果,令人充满期待。

The Senior Officials’ Meeting for the 14thChina-ASEAN Expo
Thanks to substantial development over the past 14 years, the China-ASEAN Expo has grown into an effective public platform for cooperation between the two sides. It has long been indicating the mutual benefi ts generated by China-ASEAN cooperation and it is sure to deliver a broader prospect for future win-win cooperation.
Growing together with CAEXPO
Mr. MAO Veasna, Chief of Bureau, Department of Exhibition Affairs, General Directorate of Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Liaison Officer of Cambodia for CAEXPO, who has been working on CAEXPO for nine years, said that his affection for the Expo comes from his self-improvement on the platform; he also has witnessed the growth of the Expo over the past years.
“When I fi rst attended the Expo, I was a fresh offi cial taking minor responsibilities in running and operation of the Expo. But because of my 10-year experience, I am having major responsibilities and actively taking part in major operation and the preparation for the Expo,” said Mr. MAO Veasna in the interview with journalists from China and other countries when he attended the Senior Officials’ Meeting for the 14thCAEXPO. He said that the CAEXPO is very popular and famous in his country; it serves as an important platform for economic and trade cooperation between Cambodia and China and it is one of major events for Cambodiangovernment, who actively participates in the Expo every year.
The story between Mr. MAO Veasna and CAEXPO indicates a miniature of the increasing cooperation between ASEAN and China. The Expo has delivered fruitful achievements through years of painstaking efforts. So far, the previous CAEXPOs have gathered 63 state leaders from of China and ASEAN member states, 2,700 ministerial officials and 584,000 business representatives. In particular, by virtue of this platform, a group of major projects like China-ASEAN Information Harbor have been launched; the upgrading of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and the building of 21stCentury Maritime Silk Road have been effectively promoted, setting a good example for mutual beneficial cooperation between China and ASEAN.
To achieve win-win results
The Senior Officials’ Meeting for the 14thCAEXPO held in Nanning, Guangxi on March 13, 2017 revealed that the 14thCAEXPO is to be held Nanning on September 12-15, 2017.
To further promote the upgrading of CAEXPO and improve economic efficiency, senior officials from ASEAN coorganizers had a deep discussion on the preparation for the 14thCAEXPO and how to make efforts in the upgrading of CAFTA and the building of 21stCentury Maritime Silk Road.
At the meeting, Mr. Wang Lei, Secretary-General of China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat introduced that the 14thCAEXPO is to theme on “Jointly Building the 21stCentury Maritime Silk Road and Promoting Tourism to Achieve Regional Integration”; taking China-ASEAN Year of Tourism Cooperation as an opportunity, with focus on trade, investment and tourism cooperation, efforts should be made in facilitating the upgrading of CAFTA, in lifting the economic integration in the region to a higher level of mutually benefi cial development and in putting the building of 21stCentury Maritime Silk Road into practice, in a bid to attain improvements in friendly cooperation, economy, exchange in multiple-areas and the visibility of CAEXPO.
Ling Xiao, an official from Department of Asian Affairs, Ministry of Commerce of China, said that they would keep sending invitation to state leaders and ministerial offi cials of 10 ASEAN countries, facilitate the work alignment between the high-level representatives from governments and business communities, strengthen the industrial cooperation between China and ASEAN, improve the mechanism for investment promotion and turn the CAEXPO into an authoritative platform for investment between both sides’ enterprises.
New highlights
The year 2017 marks the 50thanniversary of the establishment of ASEAN as well as China-ASEAN Year of Tourism Cooperation. This year can be taken as a new opportunity for China-ASEAN relations and the 14thCAEXPO is bound to serve for the China-ASEAN cooperation in broader areas and the enhancement of mutual trust and bilateral win-win cooperation.
The 14thCAEXPO will join hands with more than 70 research institutes including China Academy of Science to introduce China’s high technologies to ASEAN countries, involving spaceflight, chemical engineering, communication and manufacturing, to encourage those Chinese enterprises with advantageous industrial capacity to invest in ASEAN countries, and to introduce the intelligent manufacturing in China into the fi elds of China-ASEAN industrial cooperation.
According to Secretary General Wang Lei, “We will continue to take the exhibition pattern comprising one major exhibition — China-ASEAN Expo, a group of sub-theme exhibitions and itinerant exhibitions. Brunei’s fi rst medium, small and micro enterprise exhibition and 2017 CAEXPO Brunei Exhibition will be held in Bandar Seri Begawan in May; and in June, 2017 East Conference Electrical and Mechanical Exhibition (Vietnam) will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam. Meanwhile, we continue to improve the agriculture, light industry, forestry, culture, tourism and other specialized subject exhibitions.”
Of particular note, the 14thCAEXPO will be built into a platform for economic and trade cooperation worldwide, aiming to encourage countries engaging in RCEP and the Belt and Road Initiative to boost international cooperation. In order to make “worldwide” bold, countries along the Belt and Road will be invited as the special cooperative partners to attend the 14thCAEXPO.
With these new highlights, the 14thCAEXPO will take on a new look and is sure to give you a rewarding trip.
