In rock slope, most of the instability failure is controlled by the structural plane, the basic failure modes can be divided into 3 types: plane sliding, wedge sliding and toppling failure. Kinematics analysis is widely used in studying rock slope stability controlled by the structural plane, it is a method of preliminary determination of slope stability and failure mode in polar stereographic projection drawings by using stereo projection and vector algebra theory. It introduces the method of slope kinematic analysis with DIPS software, and makes analysis and discussion by taking the powerhouse back slope of a hydropower station in Pakistan as an example.

Stability Stress Analysis of Support Structure of Soft Rock and High External Water Tunnel Section

ANSYS and PHASE2 are used for finite element calculation of soft rock and high external water tunnel section, including seepage calculation and stability stress analysis of support structure. It makes use of the advantages of seepage field calculation considering the drainage effect of drainage pipe in ANSYS, and combines with the specialty of tunnel excavation calculation of PHASE2, to make the stability calculation of the support structure more simple and get more safe and reliable results, which can provide reference for the design and construction of high external water tunnel.

Study on Wanjiagou Arch Dam Reinforcement Scheme

The barrage of Wanjiagou reservoir is a concrete double curvature arch dam. The reservoir was built in 1997 and has been running for nearly 20 years, there are many hidden dangers. It was identified as Class Ⅲ dangerous dam in 2009. This text defines the problem of excess of tensile stress of the dam body, puts forward the scheme for solving this problem, and studies 3 dam reinforcement schemes (insulation layer restoration, gravity dam reinforcement, arch dam reinforcement) through reviewing the dam body stress of Wanjiagou arch dam and studying the reinforcement scheme. After comprehensive comparison, it is recommended to adopt the arch dam reinforcement scheme.

Brief Introduction to Calculation Method of Water Demand for Irrigation Area of Lujiaba Reservoir

The irrigation area of Lujiaba reservoir is 496 hm2(7 441 mu), and theP=80% typical annual net irrigation quota of rice and rape in irrigation area is 4 605 m3/hm2(307 m3/ mu) and 1 335 m3/hm2(89 m3/mu) respectively.P=80% typical annual irrigation gross water demand is 3.87 million m3, the average annual irrigation gross water demand is 3.45 million m3, and comprehensive gross irrigation quota is 6 960 m3/hm2(464 m3/mu).
