Lvliang Municipal Government and CHALCO to Accelerate The Construction of Projects

On April 7, the Lvliang municipal government and Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (CHALCO) held an in-depth discussion about accelerating the construction of projects such as the 1-million-ton light alloy project and the Huaxing Aluminum project and promoting aluminum post processing, and reached broad consensus over closer cooperation and expansion of cooperation areas.

Wang Liwei pointed out that with the joint efforts of relevant parities such as CHALCO, Lvliang's 1-million-ton light alloy and Xinghua Technology Phase II projects have shown a good momentum, fully reflecting the speed and level of service of central enterprises. He said, “These projects are not only related to the development of Lvliang's economic and social development, but has a great significance for the formation of a complete coal and aluminum industrial chain and the construction of the most competitive national aluminum industry base in Lvliang. Lvliang will further strengthen cooperation with project-related parties such as CHALCO and Jinneng and accelerate the construction of the Lvliang aluminum industry base. First, we should speed up the construction of key projects. We should stick to the schedule, implement responsibilities, fully promote the construction of the Lvliang power LAN network, and speed up the preparatory work for the power plant project to ensure that power is supplied normally according to the predetermined schedule and that the 1-million-ton light alloy project is put into production as planned in this September. Second, we should actively promote the coordinated development of the aluminum industry chain. We should explore new ideas, find new paths, protect and develop bauxite resources according to law and realize coordinated development of aluminum and mineral resources and aluminum deep-processing. Third, we should endeavor to create a good development environment. We should speed up the planning and construction of logistics channels for the aluminum industry base based on the development needs of the project, and make full use of railway and highway resources to meet long-term development goals. In addition, we should increase policy support, accelerate the handling of formalities, provide zero-distance service and create a good environment for smooth progress of the project.”

Wang Liwei hoped that CHALCO will carefully organize and accelerate the construction of the 1-million-ton light alloy project to ensure it is put into production on schedule, and will continue to extend the industrial chain and establish a presence in the world's leading aluminum post-processing industry to ensure “aluminum water doesn't fall to the ground” and that the aluminum deep-processing and light alloy projects are simultaneously built and put into production. He also hoped that CHALCO will continue to expand the field of cooperation between the two sides, bring more new industries and projects with high-tech content and strong promotion ability to Lvliang, increase investment in Lvliang, strengthen cooperation in municipal construction and emerging industries and help Lvliang with industrial transformation and poverty alleviation.

Xu Bo thanked Lvliang for its support and care for CHALCO for many years and briefly introduced the progress of projects in Lvliang.
