On the occasion of its 12th show, APPAREL SOURCING Paris is offering a huge variety of solutions for clothing and accessories production with registrations from almost 300 exhibitors already (+30% compared with 2016).
“APPAREL SOURCING Paris is, more than ever, in keeping with the times and offers visitors the most relevant products and services, whether this means sourcing with short lead times – this service was introduced fairly recently by suppliers in nearby regions and is becoming steadily more popular as it provides the vital skills and flexibility – or sourcing from suppliers who are farther away but who offer rare and original expertise”, notes Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt France.
February 2017s show will be marked by an increase in attendance by several countries that simply cannot be overlooked when it comes to global sourcing for clothing:
● In addition to China, which is always represented by large numbers of exhibitors, the offer at Apparel Sourcing gives a broad overview of the skills from the Indian sub-continent: Bangladesh, Pakistan, attending with its denim ranges, and India (under the aegis of Texprocil) is increasing significantly in numbers.
● Morocco, a major supplier offering products from the nearby region with short lead times, makes a substantial contribution to the show, thanks to a novel method in terms of presentation: companies are to be found in the various segments depending on their respective expertise. And in the Shawls & Scarves show– the accessories showcase that includes a Moroccan trimmings supplier among the exhibitors.
Look out for some highly anticipated returns, given the success these exhibitors met with at the September show: were talking about Myanmar and Guatemala. Where Chinese exhibitors are concerned, the made-to-measure ranges are expanding, something that attests to the booming market for bespoke tailoring and suits.
Fashion on Display, the space that brings together the most relevant creations of the season, now becomes The Dressing. Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud, the shows artistic directors, are proposing a new showcase that is more representative of the myriad skills demonstrated by exhibitors. Clothes are presented there according to product family and organized similarly to a wardrobe, arranged as in the retail trade.
Presentations about the latest news from the industry and from exhibitors will provide a variety of additional information in an entertaining way for visitors to APPAREL SOURCING Paris, apart from the fashion shows, real showcases of contractors skills, which will be unveiled in a digital, high-tech production. Look out for the Moroccan catwalk show presenting sportswear and denim on Tuesday 7 February at 12.
