Abstract During the repairing process of S31803 duplex stainless steel,the zones of original weld which near to the repaired weld was reheated again.And the ferrite phase in this zone has a further transformation to austenite phase,which leads to the decrease of the ferrite phase proportion and can not even meet the standard requirements.Through a series of tests and analyses,some control measures of phase proportion in this zone were made,which can play a guiding role in welding procedure qualification tests and welding production of S31803 duplex stainless steel.

Bionic design of overlying structure of plough share and its wear resistance

In order to improve the working life of plough share and get a overlying micro-structure like dung beetle,Design a metal powder cored wire of Fe-Cr-C-(B4C)xwas designed,which that can control the variation of microstructure from overlying to dung beetle by adjusting addition of B4C.The characteristics of microstructure of the deposited layer prepared by CO2gas shielded welding were studied though scanning electron microscopy and EBDS,and the hardness and the abrasive wear resistance were measured.It is found that the microstructures of the deposited layer are martensite,lower bainite,net-like(Cr,Fe)3(B,C)and a little of TiC.The microstructure is similar to that of dung beetle and the abrasive wear resistance is 3 ~4 times than that of 65Mn steel.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of deposited metal made by BHG-5 filler wire

Abstract BHG -5 welding wire is a GMAW filler wire which is widely used in domestic market,and its deposited metal possesses excellent mechanical properties when welding with shielding gas of 80%Ar+20%CO2.The mechanical properties and microstructure of BHG -5’s deposited metal were test and analyzed in this paper,the relativity between microstructure and mechanical properties and toughening mechanism were discussed.

Effect of removing weld reinforcement on residual stress in TIG welded joint of aluminum alloy

Abstract The distributions of longitudinal and transverse residual stress in of 3 mm-thick and 5 mm-thick marine 5 series aluminum alloy welded joints with and without reinforcement were measured by ultrasonic method,the joints were prepared by TIG welding with filler wire.Compared with 5 mm-thick plate,the results show that longitudinal residual stress in 3 mm-thick plate near weld zone was slightly lower because the large deformation can release part of the stress before removing the weld reinforcement.The longitudinal tensile stress is the highest near weld zone,and there is a compressive stress zone on both sides of the test plate.After removing the weld reinforcement,the double-peak feature of the longitudinal residual stress distribution with maximum stress near the weld zone.The removal of the weld reinforcement has few effects on the release of the longitudinal residual stress,but the transverse residual stress can be appropriately reduced.

Effect of cryogenic environment on the low cycle fatigue properties of 9%Ni steel made by SMAW

Abstract In this paper,low cycle fatigue property of 9%Ni steel joint by shielded metal arc welding was tested,and the strain-cycle curve at room temperature was drew.Low cycle fatigue cycle of high strain amplitude(0.6%)at low temperature(-180℃)was tested.fractures at different test temperatures were inspected,and the influence of low temperature environment on crack initiation and crack propagation process were analyzed.The conclusion is that cyclic hardening effect occurs in 9%Ni steel joint performances at low temperature environment under the effect of high strain amplitude loop,while cyclic softening effect appears at room temperature.It shows that low temperature environment helps to slow down the process of 9%Ni steel joint crack initiation and increase crack extension rate.

Abstract The topic covers the gold and silver alloys and the brazing technology for precious metal jewelry.Categories,characteristics and applications of gold and silver alloys for jewelry were listed along with the specific brazing filler metal and brazing technology for every type.According to the national standards,48 brands of brazing filler metals for silver alloys(including palladium alloys)and 19 brands of gold alloys were used within varieties of industries,but none for jewelry industry.Along with the growing of market demand for precious metal alloys,material safety standards for brazing filler metals specifically for jewelry are in request.It is certain that nontoxic,series of standardized jewelry industrial brazing filler metals as well as relevant national standards will soon walk on to stage.

Abstract The characteristics and application of magnesium alloys were introduced,the current problems in magnesium alloy welding were analyzed,and welding methods of magnesium alloy were introduced in detail,which includes gas tungsten arc welding,friction stir welding,electron beam welding,resistance spot-welding,laser-arc hybrid welding,gas metal arc welding,brazing.At last,the research and application of magnesium alloys welding was forecasted.

TKY node welding of fixed platform with jacket in offshore oil engineering

Abstract As the supporting structure,the jacket is a part of the fixed platform in offshore oil engineering.It’s a spatial truss structure that made up of intersecting multi-pipe with welding,and the TKY node is the main welding structure,its welding quality directly decides the security and practicability of the platform.In this paper,By taking a platform in the East China Sea as the instance,the TKY node welding of fixed platform with jacket in offshore oil engineering was discussed from the welding process,welder qualification requirement,the preparation of TKY node,the welding quality control and the welding repairing for crack.

Researches of CHM-Al 4047 and high-silicon eutectic aluminum alloy welding wire

Abstract CHM - Al 4047 high-silicon eutectic aluminum alloy welding wire was prepared by“continuous casting and rolling+shaving”.6061 - T6 aluminum alloy plates were used as base metal,and the compactness,mechanical properties and microstructures of the joint were analyzed.The results showed that,the radiographic inspection results can reach gradeⅠ,the tensile strength is 201 MPa,the joint coefficient is 0.69,and bending property is excellent.The microstructure of weld metal is composed of acicular eutectic silicon,fine grained eutectic silicon and α(Al).steady β phase clusters form by aggregation growth of Mg2Si phase in HAZ,which results in softening and fracture in HAZ.

Microstructure and creep property of friction welding in 2205 duplex stainless steel

Abstract 2205 duplex stainless steel was welded by continuous drive-rotation friction welding.The microstructure evolutions and the distribution of phase in each joint were observed by optical microscope.Nano-indentation technology was used to evaluate the creep properties of the γ and δ phase.The results show that joint zones,including base metal,welded zone and plastic deformation zone,and nano-hardness in the γ phase markedly increases due to the plastical deformation,and the increment rate is faster than that in the δ phase zone.Creep properties of γ and δ phase are described in creep stress exponent n based on,creep stress exponent decreases with rising nano-hardness of γ and δ phase.

Abstract For the difficulty in welding of GH4169 to electroforming nickel,the states of electroforming nickel,welding wire and welding parameters were studied.Based on macroscopic features inspection,mechanical properties test and microstructures analysis,the optimized parameters for formal products and detection methods were determined.Finally,the trial run and flight check are succeeded.

Shear mechanical property and microstructure of spot welded joint of a new dual-phase high strength steel

Abstract The effect of various factors on the resistance spot welding quality of a new dual-phase high strength steel was analyzed by orthogonal test and shear test.The microstructure and mechanical properties of the spot welded joints were investigated by metallographic microstructure test.The failure mode and the metallographic microstructures of the joints were analyzed.The results show that the maximum shear stress of the spot welded joint reaches the maximum at the welding current of 8 kA,the welding time of 15 cyc and the electrode force of 2 kN.In the tensile test of high-quality welded joints,the crack initiates from the nugget near the border,then spreads to the base metal,until the spot welded joints fractures.

Analysis and treatment of effect of cladding layer defects on seal welding quality of tube plate in 1 000 MW steam generator

Abstract The formation causes of the cladding layer defects in tube plate of the 1 000 MW steam generator were introduced.Based on the cladding layer quality problems occurred in a certain factory,the effect on the seal welding quality of tube to tube plate was analyzed.And the measures were proposed to treat the quality problems,which provide the reference for the treatment of the similar quality problems and improvement of quality in the nickel base alloy cladding layer of tube plate in the future.

Overlaying process and corrosion test of UNS N06625 in anti-sulfur high pressure separator

Abstract The product characteristics of gas field with rich H2S and CO2natural gas were analyzed,the structure of low alloyed steel overlaid by alloy 625 for well separator was determined and the proper welding process was selected.The weldability of alloy 625 was analyzed,and the proper welding process parameters were found out based on the process experience.Three overlaying procedures of one layer electroslag welding,shielded metal arc welding and automatic argon welding inside of small diameter pipe were qualified.Besides,the evaluation tests for intergranular corrosion,magnesium chloride stress corrosion and H2S stress corrosion resistance and dynamic corrosion under simulated working condition were carried out.The results are acceptable and meet the technical requirements.The equipment fabrication was completed.

Temperature field calculation and test for laser welding of aluminium alloys

Abstract For the laser welding of aluminium alloys,according to the model of the two-dimensional transient temperature field,analytical equation was obtained to calculate the temperature gradient.The orthogonal optimization experiment was designed under the laser power,defocusing distance and the welding speed,and the optimum process parameters were obtained.Using the formula of the Matlab,the temperature gradient curve was calculated.The transient temperature decrease as the distance is far from the weld.The temperature near the welds was tested by using the thermal test paper,the test result was in accordance with the calculated result.

Influence of heat-treatment on microstructure and properties of 316L stainless steel woven meshes

Abstract 316L stainless steel woven meshes were annealed at 1 080℃ and 1 350℃,and the microstructures,mechanical properties and fracture modes were studied compared with that of 316L stainless steel woven meshes without heat treatment.The results show that the grain size becomes larger obviously after annealing treatment,fusion welding phenomenon occurs at contact points of the wires,the yield and tensile strength decreases greatly while the ductility increases,and the macroscopic fracture mode changes from normal to shear fracture.

Design of automatic feeding mechanism for terminals

Abstract The automatic feeding mechanism was designed for the terminals of the electromotor shell welding.The mechanism consists of rubbing mechanism,pushing equipment,overturning assembly and the spline shafts.The rubbing mechanism uses vibration feeding channel to transport the terminals,then through the separating plate to complete the sorting.The pushing equipment pushes the terminal to the next mechanism.The overturning assembly and the spline shafts are used to positioning in horizontal position and angle position to meet the requirements of the position of the welding.

Precision pulsed repair-welding of K4169 alloy casing

Abstract Due to the characteristics of precision pulsed arc welding,such as compatibility,flexibility and the precise control of heat input,the welding experiments were carried out on K4169 alloy sheet with 0.2 mm in thickness.The results show that the microstructure is dendritic morphology with uniform and tiny strengthening precipitation.Furthermore,the welding defect is not free by X-ray inspection.Tensile properties of the joints at room temperature and 650 ℃ are equal to that of the base metal,but show lower hardness.The crack was repaired by precision pulsed arc welding and the result was qualified by the product quality inspection institutions.The conclusion proved precision pulsed arc welding can be applied to the crack repairing of casing.
